Its not the product that is the problem. I’m sure it just My Toby (cat) will not eat it no matter what I do. Very expensive and he won’t eat. I was hoping it would help with his thyroid issue, not sure what we are going to do with him (he is 18 yrs old) not feeling well at all. Feeling Sad

My 14 yr old with hyperthyroidsm was just put on this dry food- So the verdict is out - but he loves it an I am hopeful - It's expensive, but worth it if we can correct this via nutrition - Prayers.

Thyroid Fighter
By CallieDaddy on Dec 29, 2020
It's what the doctor prescribed. Callie eats it, but not enthusiastically. She is a wet food kitty but now needs a dry food regimen.

Saved my old cat!
By Rachel on Dec 6, 2020
My 17 year old cat had a terrible reaction to the thyroid medicine, to the point where she was itching herself so much she was drawing blood and acting like more of a space cadet than usual. This food, combined with the wet food, saved my cat's life! All her symptoms of thyroid problems cleared up in a few weeks when we switched. She appears to enjoy the taste, though she is not picky.

older cat, bad side effects from medicine, vet told us to try this
By oldbaritone on Nov 30, 2020
18 year old cat; we gave her medicine but she started scratching herself until she bled so we had to stop the medicine. Vet said to try this. She loves it and we hope it will keep her going.

Happy Kitty
By Tiger on Nov 24, 2020
My cat was recently diagnosed with high thyroid levels. After trying a medicine, he did not tolerate it well. Our vet recommended changing his diet to food for hyperthyroidism. He really likes his new food. Very happy since he is a picky eater. Waiting for follow up blood work, fingers crossed this helps his thyroid.

Miracle food for our cat
By Grateful on Nov 9, 2020
We have spent 3 YEARS and THOUSANDS of dollars trying to help our now 13 year old cat. We have done everything. Endless bloodwork. Ultrasounds. Trying endless types of food and medications. It was determined that our cat had very bad hyperthyroidism which led to two bouts of pancreatitis. Unfortunately the methimazole for his thyroid seemed to make him vomit and have awful diarrhea. We tried liquid and pill methimazole and both would induce vomiting right away. We switched to the ear method with a twist gel and it seemed to somewhat help. But the poor cat still had awful diarrhea. They tried steroids, fortiflora, having us switch to hyper-allergenic foods, etc. Still bad. They tried steroids, fortiflora, having us switch to hyper-allergenic foods, etc. Still bad. At my cat's check-up a month ago, we were told that his thyroid got way worse again and they wanted to DOUBLE his medication dose. I told him I suspected the medicine makes him ill. That's when I found reviews regarding this food online. I was upset that our vet didn't think to have us try it - especially because the other hyper-allgenic food was VERY expensive. This is pricey, yes, but not as pricey as we were paying with additional medicine and the other food. I asked our vet about trying this food and she said we could try it but to keep expectations low and keep him on his low dose (just not do the double dose of methimazole). Ya'll. After ONE MONTH on this food, we had bloodwork done on our cat. The vet called us absolutely amazed and wanted to know what we have been doing differently. Our cat's thyroid levels are perfect. We still have him on the lower dose, but I am wondering if he will be able to go off medication all together in the future. Better still, our cat isn't vomiting. He no longer has diarrhea. This food has truly been a life saver for our cat. Give it a try! Note: We took two weeks to break in the food by giving him slightly more mixed with old food every day. … more
