She likes it!!! - and it's good for her
I adopted Sophie about 10 months ago (she is a 7 year old Great Pyrenees) and, at first, she wouldn't eat almost anything (she came from a tough situation) but then I started mixing the Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight canned food into her dry food and she thinks this is great stuff!! In fact, I had to switch the dry food to the dry formula of this same Perfect Weight because she has blossomed up to 104 lbs and her vet says she needs to be under 100 so we have to reduce the calorie intake. This combination works perfectly and she looks forward to breakfast and dinner time.
absolutely love this product
I have lab/golden cross (13/16 golden) who looks full golden who is almost 7 yrs old. We have been using this food for years to lose & then maintain his weight to get him back to his ideal weight of 58#. Love the low calorie count per cup. I will say that we feed below the feeding instructions. 3-4x per week he will get 1.5 cups for breakfast and then 1 cup for dinner. The other days it’s 1:1. I would recommended this food if you want a leaner and healthier pet! I will have to add some daily supplements as he is getting to be an older dog and there is no glucosamine in this food
Dog won’t eat it
I’ve been using this product for 4 years and my dog loved it! He is a golden retriever. This last bag I purchased from Chewy in January 2023 looked the same as always. Last week I opened the bag and gave my dog the food. He ate it as usual for a few days and then refused to eat it. He felt sick. He would eat anything else but not his kibble. I’m going to the local pet store today to buy a Purina product. Something is wrong with this batch.
My dog loves it
I have only give this food to my dog for a short time. He really likes it. It was recommended by hi vet to lose a couple of pounds. I will see soon if he has lost the weight. However I will stay with it because it is healthy and he likes it.
Not good for my furbabies
I tried to do a VERY VERY Slow changeover from Royal Canin to Hills it did not work, even a couple of kibbles caused vomiting and diarrhea for my pack. I'm sure it's not a bad food just did not work for us.
Good but smelly
The transition to science diet was super easy. My pups changed over very well. They seemed to enjoy it, however the food smells terrible and so does their breath. While it is a very effective food for weight loss, we plan to go back to our previous brand due to the rank odor it has caused on their breath.

vet approves
I started our Cavichon, Scout and Doxichon, Simon on this food more than 2 years ago. Our vet said that they were slightly overweight at that time. Since switching, we have consistently maintained healthy weights. Our guys show up excited and ready to eat each meal :)
Boys like It!!
Our boys are both labs but different as night and day. They BOTH like this food so far so that is a win-win. I am anxious to see if their weight starts to drop over the coming weeks.
