Not just for weigh loss

I’ve been feeding this to my dog for years and he loves it. He’s a Jack Russell mix, a very active 9 year old. The great thing about this food is it’s high fiber, so he poops easily and thoroughly. Before using this, the situation wasn’t so good. My neighbor’s dog sometimes stays with us and he’s fed a human-like food, which results in straining and drippy poops. After one day with just a tiny amount of this added to Drippy’s usual food and he’s a new dog. So much more frisky and playful. So don’t just look at this food like it’s just for weight loss.

Happy my Vet recommended this brand

I have been feeding my dog a limited protein food from another brand because she had soft stools and we thought it was from chicken. However over time she was gaining weight (too many treats contributed) but our Vet recommended her losing weight and recommended this brand as well as Purina and Royal Canine. I was familiar with Hill's Science Diet for a cat that needed a special diet so I tried them first and SUCCESS! Her stools are better than with the other foods we've tried (multiple) and she loves the taste. She's even lost a half a pound which for her size is right on track. I would highly recommend tryingn this product.

Bad batch?

Have been using this food for my dog for the last year with good results. The last bag ordered however, as soon as I opened it and fed my dog, he became very sick to his stomach. Now feeding same food but in canned version and he is fine again. Makes me wonder if there is a contamination issue with the bag I was sent. Label on bag says: best before 12 2024 M2361142 SM 143. I wonder if any other dogs using this product batch have gotten sick. I will discard my bag.

Two of my three miniature dachshunds have been put on a strict diet by their veterinarian. They have only been on this kibble for a short time, but are very satisfied with the taste and amount allowed. I can already see their girth shrinking.

Picky eater really likes this dry food

I have a very picky chihuahua who usually smells something and then just walks away from it. She has consistently eaten this dog food (very rare for her) and does not walk away from it when she is fed. Sticking with this one for sure.

On maintenance

My 10#, 10 year old min pin is prone to weight gain, which is bad for her joints as she ages. She likes this kibble (mixed with a spoonful of wet dog food) and it's been easy to keep her weight down yet know she enjoys her meals.

Picky eater

My Corky is a little over weight so thought I need to get some food that would help him slim down. So far he is eating well and starting to look a little healthier. Time will tell if I can keep him eating it.

Dog is happy

Science Diet recently changes the formula for this product. Our dog seems to have adapted. At the same time the weight of the package went from 15 to 12.5 lbs and the price was increased

You can smell the high quality

My dachshund needed to lose weight and I researched several brands of low calorie or diet style dog food. This was the best because it’s not really diet so it still taste good ( my dog loves it). He has lost weight very good and easily. The food smells great and not like cheap for from grocery store. I’m am upset that the bag got smaller but didn’t drop the prices. But I will continue to buy because it is the best dog food for my dachshund to keep a healthy weight.
