Good kibble for picky, sensitive eaters.
We have been on a roller coaster of different foods for different dogs. One dog is a very picky eater, who was on a prescription high fiber food. The other tends to have loose stools. Both are standard poodles, who sometimes puke a lot. We used this food previously with two earlier dogs, and have now come full circle. The picky dog will eat it (as long as it has a little bit of chicken or something scattered in, to entice him). The other dog is having good poops. And it contains grain, which my vet said SHOULD be in their diet. It's much less expensive than the prescription food, and it's great to have both dogs eating the same food. So I'm happy. I hope we can stay with this kind for a long time, since switching foods is always a chore.
Caused GI upset for my GSD
I want to start by saying this food is really good quality and the price is great. Chewy shipped it to me quickly and it seemed like it was a good fit. Sadly, over the course of a few weeks feeding my GSD this food, his stool became very runny and never got better, resulting in a vet trip and having to buy a whole other brand for gastrointestinal health. Every dog is different! Unfortunately, my dog's stomach is very picky, despite this being a formula for sensitive tummies.
No more picky eater
Senior dog, 11yr old seems to have sensitive stomach but eats just about anything, 10yr old is always biting at his feet and turns his nose up at everything I’ve tired or gets bored of it quickly. Have been on this food for about 3 weeks and they LOVE it! The picky eater seems to enjoy meal time finally! Haven’t noticed any upset stomach or biting at the feet. Only problem is I have the previous brand of food left over and I don’t know what to do with it. They decided they weren’t going to ease into the new food by me mixing the two because they would pick the old out of their bowls and leave it on the floor for me to deal with.
Hill's dogfood cured my dog from constant diarrhea
My golden suffered from constant diarrhea which was lasting for months and became lethargic and slept all day She was on a diet of wet and dry premium dog food and a variety of dog treats Not knowing which one caused the problem I started her on a diet of chicken and rice. the problem continued to the point of many visits to the vet the last two costing over $600 for tests At the last appointment my vet suggested I start my dog on Hill's sensitive stomach dog food within a day or so the energy that had been missing came back my dog became playful again and had lots of playful pep I also only fed her Hill's treats which she loves no more diarrhea I will keep her on only Hill's dog food from now on It will save me the hefty vet bills
Hill’s is the bomb
When my shih tzu mix had a serious digestive problem when he was young my vet suggested putting him on Hills Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach and we’ve never looked back. Not only did his issues clear up but he has never experienced a problem since (he’s 6 now) He loves the food which is an obvious bonus and we mix the dry with the wet. Wouldn’t think of trying anything else.
My dog has had allergies for several years now and after trying a number of different foods, this one has helped the absolute most when paired with her Apoquel and a salmon oil supplement. Her dandruff is completely gone and her coat looks incredibly shiny and healthy. Her allergies are also incredibly improved. Worth the money and highly recommend!
Cancelled auto ship
I cancelled this auto ship because something has gone terribly wrong. First I received one bag of dry dog food last week, and now today, I received two more bags of the same. I'm still finishing up a previous bag so now I have 3 full bags!!!! This is insane. I'm hoping they all stay fresh till I need them. Not too happy with auto ship right now.
A Small Miracle
Well a small miracle occurred. They had started refusing their previous food. So I tried Science Diet for Sensitive Stomachs AND THEY ATE THE FOOD! I tried mixing with their old. Nope they picked out Science Diet. So I just changed them. No diarrhea, no gurgling stomachs. This is the 3rd day. This is huge for me!!! Additionally, I've always had to put something on their food to entice them to eat. Cooked beef, a hot dog.... no more. They just eat.
Did not agree with our pup
Our endless search for a kibble that our pug with a sensitive tummy will like and also agree with his digestion continues. He turns up his nose at this and his poops have been very soft. Disappointed as we'd heard good things about this!
Aren't all kibbles the same?
Only using this because this brand was used at the shelter my dog came from . Another brand gave her loose stools when I tried it at home. So I guess we'll stick with this.
