    Best food for senior hyperthyroidism

    Current research is concluding that elderly cats (with healthy kidneys) need high protein and fat, which is basically a kitten diet. This goes double with a hyperthyroidism diagnosis. It's been pure insanity finding a dry and wet food that my picky baby will eat. This goes double with a hyperthyroidism diagnosis. It's been pure insanity finding a dry and wet food that my picky baby will eat. Hyperthyroidism generally makes them even more picky. I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a solution. At last, I tried the Hill's Science Kitten food, and she loves it! She's picky about the size of her kibble, so this small, round variety is perfect. Hill's changed their 11+ senior kibble and it's now double the size. Why Hill's!? I'm glad they did because it made me look for alternatives. Now her wet AND dry foods are high fat and protein. Chewy has saved both of our lives by refunding the food she won't eat..and it's been a lot! Long after my baby is gone, I will still remember how this company took care of us. Thanks, Chewy! … more

    Kitties won't touch it

    I'm sure it's probably good food, but the taste & smell isn't irresistible to my kittens
