What are the exact feeding instructions for this particular food? The info under the feeding instructions is too vague.
Answer by ChewyNov 19, 2018
Please refer to the image below for the recommended feeding guide.

English bulldog that’s a little under a year Science diet large breed puppy, the chicken meal, is it okay to switch him to the lamb meal and rice recipe even if I won’t have enough to mix two, or should I just stay with the science diet large breed puppy chicken flavor
Answer by ChewyNov 19, 2017
This will primarily depend on your particular puppy's digestive system. Some dogs are more sensitive to protein switches than others. To have the best results, we suggest doing a gradual transition which can help to prevent any gastrointestinal upset.

How many cups are in this bag?
Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2020
The 33-pound bag would have around 130 cups of food.

Are all ingredients from the United states or are some ingredients imported and just assembled in the US.
Answer by ChewyApr 01, 2019
This food is made in the United States. They source raw materials only from countries where there are reliable safety procedures in place, primarily in the United States, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and several European countries.

Happy in Florida

I am surrounded by pet stores, some nationally owned and some mom and pop. Nobody carries Hill's for Puppy in Lamb meal and Rice with any consistency. There are hundreds of bags of chicken hanging around but I want Lamb. Thank you Chewy for always having my dog food in stock and on my doorstop when I need it. I highly recommend auto ship so as not to run out.

Science Diet Lamb larger dog

This has been a better choice for my doodle than the small bites puppy by them. Plus, less loose stools which may be due to the barley in the latter. Bonus, he loves it.

A sold, vet-endorsed food for large puppies

My puppies aren't particularly picky, which is really helpful when feeding. I'm used this food with other large/giant breed dogs as puppies prior, and its always been endorsed by my vet and I've always had good growth and overall puppy health when using.

Great for my German Shepherd

I switched to this food (from chicken), when my girl was about 4 months, as she seemed pretty itchy with chicken. She is now 17 months, and I'll keep her on this for a couple more months before I switch to the adult version. I feed according to the bag guidelines. She's fairly picky and not super food motivated so just sort of eats when she feels like it - I can't really provide feedback on her satisfaction with the flavor. BUT, no skin issues, gorgeous shiny coat, and perfect weight (combined with rationed snacks/treats and plenty of exercise). She will go to town with her food if I add a little scrambled egg or crumbled feta in there, so I guess it's not objectionable. :-)

English Lab Puppy Does Not Love

I bought this for our English lab puppy (8 months old), and while I saw there were many positive reviews for this food, my pup just did not love this brand. He had previously been eating Eukanuba large breed puppy food with no issues, but he lost his enthusiasm for mealtimes with this brand. We tried 2 bags of it, but he's just not into it. For a dog who sometimes eats the cardboard box this food is shipped to the house in, that's saying something.

Great Food For My Newfoundland Puppy

When I worked for a Lab breeder, lamb and rice was always on the menu and the dogs had beautiful coats. I have seen a lot of dogs with chicken allergies, so I wanted to make sure I started my Newfoundland puppy out with a high quality protein and lamb and rice is the best out there. His coat is beautiful, thick and so shiny and at 6 months he is 90lbs and full of energy. I would recommend this food to anyone with a large breed puppy.
