what kind of pole is required to use for honey bee house?

This bee house can me mounted by hammering a nail into a tree trunk or supported wood stand around 6-ft high, away from heavy winds with the front facing the sun.

Would this work for carpenter bees too, to keep them from burrowing into my porch?

This will not house Carpenter Bees and they won't use it. Unfortunately, the only way to prevent Carpenter Bees is by trapping or pesticides. Carpenter bees are less likely to burrow into surfaces that are painted or treated however.
Do we have to add anything to the bee house? I purchased one a year ago and not sure if I can just hang it up without adding anything.

This house includes a mounting hole on the back for easy installation.

The Beneficial Bees Boudoir!

The bees just love their Chateau Bee House since I planted a pollinator-friendly garden in front of my home. We enjoy sitting out front just watching the bees get the pollen from the flowers. It's remarkable!

Adorable and serves a purpose

Pollinators are very important and we have a pollinator garden. I bought this little house for them. It is really cute and helps to protect the pollinators.
