Keep squirrels from showing up uninvited to the feeding party with the Homestead Super Stop-A-Squirrel. Made from a durable green finish that looks great in any yard, this feeder pulls out all the stops to keep squirrels from stealing the bird’s breakfast. The stainless steel spring adjusts to the weight of the squirrels, by closing the feed ports and depriving the squirrels of feed—which also works for large birds. The large, clear window lets you keep an eye on the seed level at all times, so your feathered friends never go hungry. And when it’s time for a refill, the removable seed bin makes it a breeze!

Squirrel Proof bird feeder
By Debi on Jan 25, 2021
I ordered this feeder and am completely satisfied! It solved the problem of the squirrels eating all the bird seed. This is the only bird feeder that is 100% squirrel proof as I have tried others and they just didn't keep the squirrels out. I recommend this as a long lasting and definitely squirrel proof feeder!

How do you hang this thing?
By Cappers on Oct 31, 2020
All good except I could not figure out to hang it off a chain . Either I am missing parts or its a bad design for sure. I made my own hanger for it so I could use it. It said to put it in the bracket but it doesn't hold it . Maybe I'm over thinking this thing.

Too many places on the front plate for the squirrels to hook into. It did take a few months but for the expensive to be just a feeder. Very disappointing. I purchased two from Chewy

Quality Anti-Squirrel Feeder
By Tori on Sep 9, 2020
Hard to believe but there is something made of metal not plastic these days. This feeder is solid metal, easy to fill and mount. Birds of all sizes eat from it but not the squirrels. At last I now have a feeder squirrels don't even try to climb. Life is good.

Squirrels can easily outsmart the feeder.
By Squirrelhater on Jun 29, 2020
It didn't stop the squirrels from getting to the food. They either climb the 4x4 so I installed a metal shield below the feeder which worked. Now they jump/fly from adjacent trees and grapple the feeder when landing on it... Only way to prevent that would be to move feeder far enough away from the adjacent trees or put the feeder inside some sort of clear plastic bubble...

Stops squirrels and large birds
By CindyL on Aug 29, 2020
This is the only bird feeder I've ever bought that prevents squirrels and larger birds. Sadly, it looks like a tank, wish it could be more attractive.

Heavier than I expected, but holds lots of seed
By JGriffith on Jun 13, 2020
It took me a minute to figure out how to put it together, since I was going to hang it from a hook along with my other feeders. It's quite heavy, and awkward, but it's metal and seems very sturdy. I'm not sure the birds have figured it out yet after having it up for over a week. Hopefully they won't take much longer to discover the jackpot of sunflower seeds in it.

Disappointed
By JimG on Jun 14, 2020
Since I hung the feeder the birds have come to it, however, very few try to eat from it. I have several cardinals and it appears that they can’t land on the perch. The sparrows won’t even land to eat. I purchased a new feeder due to the older/similar model is worn out. I will give this another week before putting the old version back in place.
