I made the recommended amount for my 75 lb dog and boiled it on the stove with potato and veggies (until fork tender) to add to some slow cooked plain chicken or plain eggs. He is over the moon about it and eats his vegetables with his restricted, simple diet at the moment with no fuss like before. He is over the moon about it and eats his vegetables with his restricted, simple diet at the moment with no fuss like before. I am honestly relieved he has something that makes him want to eat. He doesn't care much for the broth itself or too much of watery broth on his food, but anything cooked in it or a small drizzle over unseasoned meat seems to be a winner. Was bought as a comfort gift from his caring human aunt - came in a couple of days. … more

I bought this to enhance the flavor of my senior cats' wet food. They took to it for the first meal, but any subsequent meal where I tried to add this, my cats refused to eat that food. It doesn't mix well at all, and there's way too much turmeric in the mix. Also, if you've ever cooked with turmeric I bought this to enhance the flavor of my senior cats' wet food. Also, if you've ever cooked with turmeric, you know how badly it stains. Ditto goes for carpets. Just FYI. This may be a good additive for dogs, but for my cats, it's a definite no. … more

makes my dog want to eat
By smoreli on Feb 5, 2021
I have to feed my dog a very natural and healthy diet because she has severe allergies, digestive issues, and kidney issues. Adding this to her mix of food everyday helps her want to eat it and she is finishing meals again. Im not sure I will purchase again after using up this canister and may just make my own broths to add to her meals.

I like to add this to my dogs Honest Kitchen Clusters food. Especially nice in the cold winter months used with warm water. She enjoys the flavor.

Not for cats
By HarperLee on Dec 30, 2020
I am the caretaker of 14 cats. NONE of them liked this. at. all. Too much herbs floating on top and anytime you have to mix with water, that is problematic. I tried this because their favorite Free-range Turkey bone broth was out of stock. So, I can't recommend this for cats.

The dogs love it
By Rose on Dec 30, 2020
Sometimes the dogs are picky. When added to their dry food, they eat every time. Smells like people food. Haven't tasted it though.

Cat warmed up to it!
By KratosMom on Dec 6, 2020
My male neutered 2 yr old cat at first hated it but as I mixed it with warm water and added to wet cat food he gobbles it up! I guess the trick is to add it already warm and completely mix with some wet food they already love. I LOVE I can add so much nutrition to their diet. Hope it helps someone!
