Mix food with warm water, stir well and wait 3 minutes, then serve with love!

We suggest dividing daily amount into 2 daily servings. For larger dogs adjust accordingly. These are only guidelines! Your individual dog's needs will vary with age and activity. You can add slightly more or less water than we suggest, according to your pet's taste. Refrigerate or discard any leftovers.

Transition Instructions

If your dog has never tried our foods before, we recommend starting out slowly. Over a period of 1 to 2 weeks or so, start by adding just a small amount of the Honest Kitchen (with water added) into your dog’s current meals. Gradually increase the amount of the Honest Kitchen while decreasing the amount of your dog’s original diet.

The Honest Kitchen may be mixed in with your dog’s current dry kibble, canned, raw, etc. However, we do not suggest adding in other extra ingredients during the transition if you can avoid it, especially if your pup’s system is very sensitive. After you’ve successfully transitioned your dog to the new food, perhaps after 2-4 weeks or so, and they are doing well, then you may consider adding in extra ingredients or introducing another honest kitchen recipe, etc.

  • Great product and wonderful service!

    By on

My dogs have been on keen dehydrated food for a year now and they love it. I love they they are eating whole foods instead of processed kibble. They each lost several pounds in the first month I switched to the dehydrated food. My female dog had been struggling with bladder stones and her urine ph has been great since we switched to this food. Also, I was using another auto-ship service and it was really difficult to time when I would receive the food. Someone recommended Chewy and I was thrilled that the price was better and I also received a discounted first order.

  • Terrific convenience and dog-approved

My dog has IBD and eats ground turkey, veggies, and oats most of the time. We recently took an extended driving trip, and the whole foods route just wasn’t working - messy, couldn’t keep the meat frozen, etc. So I researched and found Honest Kitchen dehydrated food. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it smelled good when I made it, and I could see the oats and chunks of apple and carrot in the prepared food. My dog LOVED it. Maybe even more than her regular food, since it was warm (must be prepped with hot water). We got through the trip easily thanks to Honest Kitchen, and I’m keeping extra on hand in case we have to travel in short notice or even if I have a lazy day and don’t feel like cooking My dog has IBD and eats ground turkey, veggies, and oats most of the time. • Finally Food that Works for my Boxer

    By on

I have a rescue boxer who has had intestinal issues since day 1. I've tried tons of kibbles, preservative-free, grain free, organic, kangaroo, rabbit, bison, etc. Nothing would work -- loose foamy stools. Finally I tried this dehydrated dog food, and so far it is working great! His stools are finally normal, plus I've noticed he doesn't seem to have itchy skin nor does he flap his ears as he used to.

  • Great product

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I have a new dog whose bowels were not taking to anything really well. I finally tried this, using turkey as the protein source and adding grains back into her diet, and so far it seems to have worked. It’s super easy to make, and I make a batch that lasts about five - seven days, depending on the size of the lidded container I mix it in.

  • It's a hit

    By on

I had been feeding Kindly base mix with cooked turkey for the last several months, but with a vegan house sitter coming to care for the dogs while we were on vacation... I needed something a little easier to deal with. Both of the pups dig this stuff a lot, and I haven't seen any negative impact from reintroducing grains to their diet. This one also seems to be a bit more digestible than Kindly was, and I don't feel it necessary to run it through the blender before serving!

  • Very easy to prep

    By on

And my dogs love it. I use it as an additive to their regular dry kibble because they are incredibly picky eaters. This gives added flavor and nutrition to their daily meals and is super easy to prep with just warm water.

  • He Loves It

    By on

Meal time is a joy again! My schnauzer had gotten to the point he was refusing all Kibble. We are two weeks in and he still gets excited at meal time. Seems to have helped some gastro issues, urgent need to go is getting much better. But still waiting on better formed stools. But overall so much better than the hard kibble!

  • Great Dog Food

    By on

THK is a great dog food but my picky Shiba Inu would not eat it. I mixed 1/16 C in his regular kibble and he would not touch it. I tried this over 3 days. Chewy refunded my account for the purchase and asked that I donate the food to a local shelter. Thank you Chewy!

  • my dogs are crazy about Honest Kitchen!

    By on

After years of feeding my dogs premium kibbles, one of my dogs stopped eat it altogether. Looking for a good alternative, I stumbled on Honest Kitchen turkey recipe. To say my three dogs love it would be an understatement -- and I feel like I'm giving them a healthier, less processed alternative.

  • i'd eat it

it's a good supplement to my dog's dry food. i can control the amount of liquid in it, which is helpful. we like the turkey better than the chicken recipe going in (and coming out!).
