Delivers quick results! Very effective
Our cats were given slippery elm powder in the past, so I knew this product shouldn't be too much of a taste and smell problem for them. We suspected a bug or something suddenly caused both cats to have frequent unpleasant runs to the litter boxes. While vets were overbooked, I looked up for a natural solution and glad I found this digestive supplement. I was happy to see them eating their food and the mess was resolved in less than 24 hours! I will continue giving the supplement a few times a week or so for general health benefits of the herbal properties it contains. The only minor thing, the product didn't come with a measuring scoop, so it kinda left me to go with the feel and adjust the taste preference for each cat. From what I know, herbs are fairly safe, but as with anything consult with your doctor. Additional thank you to Chewy team for quick deliveries, exceptional customer support, taking care of customers and their fur babies. One of the best service around that takes customers best interests to heart by focusing on meeting the needs, always a pleasure to speak to the team!
Amazing stuff
His stuff is great. My 120 lbs Pyrenean Mastiff pup gets loose stools often and diarrhea intermittently for no apparent reason. We were always afraid of giving her treats, chews or anything other than her Orijen kibble for the fear that 1 extra tiny morsel of a treat might tip her over the edge. We started with 1 tsp twice a day and it firmed up her poop the next day. She is now maintained on 1 tsp a day - not much for a giant dog. If she gets a bit constipated I back off a little. If she gets a bit loose, she gets and extra tsp. Amazing stuff. It does smell very herby but she does not mind at all. We also sprinkle on Persian cat's wet food to help with their loose poops.
Sensitive tummy aide
My little 5lb yorkipoo has a very sensitive stomach. I mix just the tiniest bit in his food (1/4 tsp) and it seems to really keep his digestive system happy and bowel movements normal. Pleased with this product.
I can't believe it
My golden retriever puppy had soft poops for weeks after I got her. I never saw a solid stool once between 8 weeks and about 14 weeks. Always either soft or even liquid. After several vet visits and no parasites... courses of metronidazole, changes to prescription GI diet, adding pumpkin, trying boiled chicken and rice - still NO solid poop with any of it! I bought this after reading reviews and after about a week of use - I saw her first ever solid poop - like really, truly normal. I continued giving this to her 3x a day.... normal poops ever since. I'm amazed and grateful for this product!
Stinky but Helpful
This product has a strong odor, and I used it a couple of times to great effect. That said, I gave the rest of my sister because her older dog has stool issues. Her dog also enjoys the taste. Time will tell how it impacts his stool, but it seems to have done alright for Bucky.
My cat said "Nope"
The Honest Kitchen is a name I trust and this digestive supplement got great reviews. Most people said the additive had no smell or taste, but my container has a strong spicy odor and even the tiniest sprinkle on the cat's wet food (no matter how I mix it in) has her turning up her nose. I've tried a few times in the past few months. For us, it's a no-go.
An Amazing Product!
I have a 4 yr. old female GSD who had severe loose stools due to nervousness of repair men working on the roof. I gave her one doze and no more loose stools. I also feed her other honest kitchen products.
Lifesaver for pups
Struggled for months with our golden doodle puppies.. one dose of this and they are cured. All is right when your puppies do the #2 with no issues..
great for reflux!
To my surprise my 70lbs poodle likes it mixed with his meals... it worked almost instantly, he was back to his chipper self within the hour. I give him half the recommended dosage twice a day
Good to have on hand
This has been good to keep on hand for occasional use and when the cats or dog have abnormal stools. The cats dont like the taste but I mix it with water and then add it to wet food. For the dog I mix it with water then in his food as well. This is made from human grade ingredients.
