Mix food with warm water, stir well and wait 3 minutes for food to hydrate. These guidelines are based on the requirements of lean and more active, indoor/outdoor cats. For less active cats, we recommend feeding slightly less. For larger cats, adjust accordingly. Our foods must be hydrated with water before serving, but you can add slightly more or less water than we suggest, according to your pet's taste. Refrigerate or discard any leftovers.

I have 2 fatties and 1 normal cat. I searched for healthy easy-digestable food and thought this was a great idea. (I just lost a kitty to pancreatitis and am paying even more attention to ingredients and additives). The fatties wouldn't touch it. I thought, fine (good for weight loss) and that eventually they would eat. They somewhat accepted a soupy version. Harry (the "normal" cat) howled through the house (probably partially b/c he missed his little bro) but he finally overturned the food dish in protest. I found a regular-looking dry food with healthy ingredients for weight management and life is back to normal. If your cats get used to the texture, this is probably a good food solution.

  • My three cats didn't like it

I don't know why, exactly, but I put a little on my finger, since it's Human Grade food, and it tasted okay like Chicken flavor which it was,so I don't know what, wet food,to feed them anymore,i've tried just about every brand of wet food, which is the type of food i've fed them for years. I am now trying dry food which they eat much better, but they don't like any Grain Free Kinds Wet/Dry. Only one of my cats has early kidney disease but good quality of life still and my other two are Seniors but are okay so.....

I think this is a great item; my kitties do not seem to want it, but I am going to keep trying. My daughter recommended it for an old kitty who was very thin; she was happy to recommend it. I will keep on helping my kitties adjust to this new item :)

  • LOVE this product

My cats were not fussy with this at all. After mixing water I let it sit for a little, so it thickens up. I have had a senior cat with IBS and after trying many different types of food, this was the winner! It has also helped my cat with urinary tract disease, as well as keeps all my cats at a healthy weight. It has also depleted my cat's dandruff problem.

  • Great ingredients but...

I have done a lot of research looking for a new and healthier cat food. I did mix the old food with the new one slowly to transition him over and he wouldn't go near it. Unfortunately JoJo was not a fan of it. :(

  • Convenient, but turned a happy eater into a fussy one.

I got lucky with a cat who eats just about anything. I've never seen her fussy with food until this. I have to mix it with a lot of water for her to eat it all (soupy mix), and even then she leaves bits in the food bowl (she's a lick it clean kind of girl). She normally will eat with no interruption if you put wet food down for her, but with this she constantly takes breaks to look at me or to follow me into the kitchen to see if I have something better. I have to sit with her now until she finishes a bowl -- unless I mix it with something else -- otherwise she'll get distracted and abandon it while it turns to cement. Today though, she uncovered a whole cranberry. I sat with her but she pawed I got lucky with a cat who eats just about anything. I've never seen her fussy with food until this. This is a miss, which is shocking to me with a cat that loves her food and gives me zero trouble. … more

  • My (very picky) cats are eating it!

    By on

I have 2 very picky eaters, but I really wanted to get them off both free feeding and dry food so I decided to give it a shot. A week into it, my boy is trying to eat it before it has time to re-hydrate (I have to put it in the cabinet) and both cats are cleaning their plates!

  • Finally!!!!!

    By on

I adopted Mia as a rescue that had been in the system for over six months and terribly abused by humans at some point in her short life. She was considered unadoptable because of her fear of us was so great and she had severe explosive diahrea that was not responding to any treatment. I've had her since November of 2016 and finally her bowel movements are now normal with this food and she'll eat it, or should I say lap it up. She prefers it to made of the consistency of pea soup. So, Finally, I found the right food for my dearest sweet Mia and trust me I tried a lot along with becoming an expert on reading labels and causes of diahrea......

My cats like grass and fresh catnip occasionally but this product would turn them into vegetarians. They hated it after one lick...
