Revel may be fed ad - libitum during growth, gestation or lactation. We suggest dividing daily amount into 2 servings. For larger dogs adjust accordingly. These are only guidelines! Your individual dog's needs will vary with age and activity. You can add slightly more or less water than we suggest, according to your pet's taste. Refrigerate or discard any leftovers.

How to make our food: Mix food with warm water, stir well and wait 3 minutes, then serve with love!

Transition Instructions

If your dog has never tried our foods before, we recommend starting out slowly. Over a period of 1 to 2 weeks or so, start by adding just a small amount of the Honest Kitchen (with water added) into your dog’s current meals. Gradually increase the amount of the Honest Kitchen while decreasing the amount of your dog’s original diet.

The Honest Kitchen may be mixed in with your dog’s current dry kibble, canned, raw, etc. However, we do not suggest adding in other extra ingredients during the transition if you can avoid it, especially if your pup’s system is very sensitive. After you’ve successfully transitioned your dog to the new food, perhaps after 2-4 weeks or so, and they are doing well, then you may consider adding in extra ingredients or introducing another honest kitchen recipe, etc.

Dehydrated to Lock in Natural Goodness

The Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog foods are made with a single meat protein — free-range chicken, cage-free turkey or hormone-free beef — all sustainably sourced. Their grain-free recipes are great for pups with sensitivities, and the whole grain options are made with organic rolled oats. They're less processed than regular dry food, and dehydrated to retain their natural goodness and flavor.

Minimally Processed with Natural Ingredients

Minimally Processed with Natural Ingredients

Each recipe is made with real, whole foods that are minimally processed, not fractions of ingredients. A gentle dehydration process preserves the natural nutrients, rich flavors and wholesome nutrition. You won't find any artificial additives, GMOs, chemical preservatives, by-products, fillers or preservatives.

100% Human Grade From Farm to Bowl

Human grade means that it's good enough for humans to eat, but formulated just for pets. The Honest Kitchen follows the same quality standards for their pet food as the foods you would find at the grocery store. They source the highest quality ingredients directly from the human food chain and produce their recipes in the USA in an FDA-inspected human food facility.

100% Human Grade
Just Add Water

Just Add Water for a Meal in Minutes

Every 10-pound box of The Honest Kitchen dog food contains concentrated nutrition that rehydrates to 40 pounds of fresh food. It might be a small box, but it's full of nutrients from over 10 pounds of beef or poultry plus whole foods like pumpkin, carrots, apples and leafy greens. Simply add warm water, stir and wait just three minutes to serve a great-tasting, nutritious meal for your pup.

We have three working Livestock Guardian Dogs that consume on average just a bit over 1200 kcal per day each. As a stand alone product Honest Kitchen Products are fully capable of providing nutritional needs with some caveats. Because of the nature of the food and how our dogs eat the perishability and fly/yellow jackets can become problematic. Unless we were to feed them upwards of 4 times per day, the dogs ALWAYS leave a portion of their food for later consumption. It's their nature. We have taken to using it as a top dressing for their evening feeding to mix with regular dry food products that have served us well. The other aspect truthfully is the cost of the product as a stand alone food We have three working Livestock Guardian Dogs that consume on average just a bit over 1200 kcal per day each. • Dog's go crazy!!

I have 3 different breeds of dogs; Norweigan Elkhound (7 months), Black Lab/German Short Haired Pointer (11 years), and Collie/Shepherd Mix (9 years). They almost jump out of their fur to get to me when I am mixing up their new food. I ordered a 14 pound box (makes 40 lbs ) at the end of December and have already purchased another box. They have NEVER been this excited to eat their food. I believe they are happier dogs, which in my mind, makes them healthier. I can't wait to see what physical results are seen from feeding them more nutritious food, without the nasties. I also receive my order the next day if I order early in the day. Thank you Chewy!! • Picky senior dog loves this and health improved

    By on

My sisters dog Misha loves this food mixed in on top of her kibble. She refused kibble on its own but with this as a topper she is the happiest dog in the world. As Misha was aging her coat was getting worse and her demeaner was sad and she wasnt excited about anything. I've been feeding this and a grain free kibble to her for about a month and already shes acting years younger, is playful, and her coat feels amazing! I would love to feed this alone to her because I'd rather her not eat kibble but the price is unfortunately way too much for my pocket to feed a 55lb dog... but you definitely get what you pay for: healthy, moisture based, human grade food! Would recommend

  • Our Jack Russell Loves It

    By on

Our Jack Russell has never been food motivated and would often not eat his food. He was on the low end of his weight bracket and we hated it that he wasn’t enjoying his food, so we switched premium food brands a number of times, trying to find something he actually wanted to eat. We also wanted to find the most ethical brands We could. We also tried different recipes, just in case he wasn’t eating due to an allergy. The Honest Kitchen was a little on the pricey end for us but we decided to try it, starting with the grain free chicken recipe. He LOVED it! He was asking for more helpings than we could give him! He put on some good weight and couldn’t wait to eat everyday! We then tried the whole Our Jack Russell has never been food motivated and would often not eat his food. • My puppy loves it!

    By on

I mix this with his kibble. It really makes him go though.... a lot.....so I limit when I give him this food. I give it in am. Since he is only 4 months and still being potty trained and I live in a high rise it makes it more difficult for him to hold it until I get him outside. I will be ordering more. Very easy to prepare and aside from his excessive bowel movements. His are not irregular or runny. Does not constipate him or cause a lot of gas and he is a Bully. They are prone to gas and sensitive stomachs.

  • Delicious Gruel

    By on

My Dachshund Archibald has tried the fish, chicken grain free and turkey grain free and he hasn't turned his nose up at any of them. In fact he's very excited for meal times. I was a little worried about this one having grain and the potential for stomach upset but this has worked out just fine. This one thickens faster than the other non-grain varieties. It's been a great, albeit expensive, food option for his dental and stomach issues.

  • Amazing Dog Food

I have two Cocker Spaniels. One is a finicky eater, at times will refuse to eat until hours later. I've changed dog foods multiple times over the years. I happened to see a ad for this on another website. I called Chewy.com talked to a representative. Decided to give it a try...Oh My Gosh!!!!!! Lil'Miss Finicky practically cries as soon as she smells me mixing it she goes wild! This is by far the BEST food I've ever bought! I am thrilled! I don't mind mixing it with water to rehydrate because Both Pups love it!!!!!

  • My dog is obsessed

    By on

We got this food as a first attempt at incorporating human-grade food into my dog's diet. To say he loves it is an understatement. I've never seen him more excited to eat. The packaging is great (easily resealable bag) and the directions are the back are clear. If you're trying to improve your dog's diet I definitely recommend The Honest Kitchen.

  • Dog goes mad for this!

    By on

I try to always buy meat that has been reared humanely and sustainably so, if I care about that for me, it seems double standards to not care about the source of protein for my dog. I am struggling to find those products. I asked Mr Chewy and they suggested the Honest Kitchen; it says "free range chicken", which isn't highest welfare standards but better than most. And the dog adores it - he gets wildly excited when it's being prepared.

  • Annabelle's Mom

I make up 1 cup at a time and use it to fill my puppy's Kong for her crate time. Sometimes I make "ice cubes" from it to fill the Kong, sometimes I stuff the Kong and freeze it. I try not to stuff the Kong too fully since it is almost like adding another meal. My dog loves it and it helps keep her occupied while in the crate.
