3 months and 1000$ in vets bills later .Our Akc Boxer puppy we purchased is finally able to live a somewhat normal life! He had chronic Diarrhea for 3 entire months from the time we brought him home. Tons of test all came out negative for him and while we waited on the last test results we decided to try a 3 ingredient home diet just to see what happened .Normal poop within 4 hours! So I tried Honest kitchen kibble first but just a few pieces caused loose stool . We had noticed probiotics caused loose stool for him too. So reluctantly I ordered a box of Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Chicken thinking it would probably end up the same way. To both of our surprises , it was not , he flawlessly swapped over from home cooked to dehydrated in about 10 days and we added tylosin powder 1/16tsp 2x day to it. As of today we are one month and 10 days diarrhea free. Honest Kitchen has been a miracle for us and Wyatt absolutely loves it . We went from barely getting him to eat his recommended amounts of dry foods to him ready to eat anytime we are in the kitchen. I hope and pray this food is balanced enough to not cause any development issues or Diet Related CM from long term use because it’s the only thing that’s working for us. Thank you Honest Kitchen
My dogs have been fed a raw diet all their lives. 2 yrs ago I had to switch them to something easier for me to get. Kibble was not an option. I’ve always known the quality of this food so it was a no brainer and the go crazy for it. 3 very active dogs & they do great on this food. And thanks to chewy it comes right to my door.
This little box of powder packs a ton of nutrients for my dogs and costs half the price of Farmers Dog! It makes around 40lbs of food. It's easy to make and store and the best part is when my babies go absolutley crazy over it!
Our Morty was having trouble liking food. We tried about 10 different types. He was not Interested. We tried Honest Kitchen and he started eaten no again. Wonderful result.
My female border collie is very picky. We have tried countless brands and form of food. We went to an event tried a sample and this is key to her eating. We use this as a topper to her normal food. But I love that it has human grade ingredients.
I have 4 large dogs. I mix 1/2 cup Honest Kitchen with about 1-1/2 cup water, let hydrate, then pour it over their food with a small measuring cup. The dogs love it. I love having a healthy topper and not having to mess with cans.
Lucy and Padme both have pancreatitis. Lucy for 3 years and Padme over 2 years. I contacted Chewy and they recommended Honest Kitchen. I did and they said they didn’t know if their products helped pancreatitis. I bought it anyway and after a few months Padme had a blood test to see how she was. The veterinarian was amazed because her numbers were way done. He said she’s fantastic and keep up with what your doing. Thank you Chewy.
My dog used to have sensitive stomach, having very often diarrhea or soft poop and she wasn’t eating or left the kibble for hours in the bowl. A friend advised to change to the Honest Kitchen and it has been amazing. I can also feel it in her energy and how the food lasts 30sec and she is so excited when it’s good time!! Due to the price we mix it half and half now with some good quality kibble and she loves it!
Even though I was doing a very gradual transition from my dog’s current food to this, he vomited every time. He’s never done this with any other new food or treat. I’m considering donating the practically full box I have but I’m concerned it would make other dogs sick, too.
I was so excited to try this food, as it's so convenient to have soft food, that does not require refrigeration, or large quantities of packaging (tins, sachets, etc.) to deal with daily. However, my dogs will not eat it, unless I bury it under something else. So disappointed. In principle, it's a wonderful idea. I wonder if a different flavor would have made a difference?
