TOO HARD FOR SMALL DOG'S TEETH!

Even though these treats look small in size (and they are), and are described as "crispy", when I got them in our Chewy package delivery, they were ROCK HARD-- too hard to even break up into smaller pieces, (which is what I usually do for treats that are hard/crunchy, to make it easier for my two little dogs to eat)-- they were in fact so hard that it was IMPOSSIBLE to break them up, so I can just imagine what such hard treats would do to my dog's teeth! I actually tried to give one to my slightly bigger dog, since she can usually chew harder treats a little easier than our smallest dog, but even she rejected it without even trying to eat it! The weird thing is, I checked the expiration date on the bag, and it's not until June of this year (2020), which granted isn't THAT far off for a dog treat, but it still shouldn't be SO hard that it can't even be safely broken into smaller pieces-- after all, it's not a bone! I would definitely NOT get these again, or recommend them even for larger dogs, if they're so hard that they can't even be chewed up into smaller pieces! … more

We like the soft ones in the yellow or red bag. I cut them into 4's and make them training treats. My Walter loves them! I hope Chewy gets them in stock soon.

Treat issues

The bad had been ripped and taped, we have no clue how long it had been pipped open or if anything had gotten in the treats. When I got the treats they were very hard but that was my fault as I bought the wrong ones. If your dog has any teeth issues to not buy as these treats are very hard. We like the soft chewy ones better

This is a good hard treat. It doesn't build up on their teeth. No grain. Not to big not to small.
