one reviewer, states she just uses water in her mop. my question is can you use detergent, and if so, what kind

When using this steam mop, do not add descaling, aromatic, alcoholic products, cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water used in this steam cleaner as this may damage the steam cleaner or make it unsafe for use. While this Steam Cleaner is designed for tap water, to increase effectiveness of the steam and to avoid build up of materials, you may use distilled water.
Can you use it on a wool rug ?

The Steam Complete Pet is designed for use on multiple different surfaces like hardwood, carpet, stone, etc. We recommend using your own discretion and contacting the rug manufacturer for further questions, as they may have a list of acceptable units to use on their products.

Great little streamer for good price

Great little steamer. Lightweight and Super easy to use. I have hardwood floors and this steamer quickly cleans all those muddy paw prints and sanitizes at the same time. Has 2 water reservoirs so can steam quite a good sized area before needing refill depending on how high you adjust the steam. I set steam at high and can do my whole house without running out. Highly recommend to anyone.

Works Well

I'm happy with it. Great price and lots of uses. I went to town on my kitchen floors and I'm very happy with the results. I'd like a link to buy replacement brush heads and after a while, I wished they were powered. They definitely show their wear after the first use. I had to use both hands to hold the steamer attachment and scrub, it's a bit heavy, especially after long use. & If you press the steam button for too long it squirts out the side and it's kinda funny. Ill definitely be using this around the house often.

Worked for the first 3 times using it now it's leaking water and not steaming at the bottom. Waste of money.

A must have if you have pets!!!!!!!

I am so very, very, very pleased with my Hoover Steamer Complete Pet Steam Mop. It is fantastic to use on my little dog's messes: it truly cleans, deodorizes, and sanitizes my little dog's messes. I did my livingroom, dining room, and bedroom with it and it is just wonderful. I have not yet used it on my kitchen floor yet, but I intend to. I also intend to use it on my toilet and stove. The instructions are hit and miss: you mainly learn by trial and error and looking at how to do videos. My carpet is kitchen carpet throughout my apartment so I did not have to use the carpet glider. At first I tried to do it with the carpet glider, but the steam did not come out a lot. However, when I took the carpet glider off, boy what a lot of steam came out. I truly am impressed with this steamer. Also, you do not use any chemicals, just water: the steam sanitizes, cleans, and deordorizes. Therefore, you, your pet, and your family are safe from any chemicals. You do not use detergent either, nothing but water!!!! Excellent product.

Buy it!!!!

This steam mop is amazing!!! It cleans every part of your house. The triangle head, the attachments, and the detachable steamer are well worth the price. If you are thinking about buying one do it!!!

Fantastic machine

I was skeptical of a combined area rug and floor steamer but this Hoover exceeded my expectations. It's easy to use and does the heavy lifting.
