    Not for us

This food looks good on paper, but none of my 3 dogs liked it. Doesn't do them much good if they won't eat it.

    Great for All Dogs

    By on

We have a 8 year old diabetic Aussie mix and 9 year old Aussie Mix and they both love this kibble, which really works out because Rogue (the diabetic) refused to eat her food and only wanted to eat Piper's food. So I did some research and found Horizon as an alternative to meet both dog's needs. We're really happy with it. (By the way we also give Piper Science Diet wet food that isn't low glucose to make sure she gets everything she needs)

Best dog food for the price on the market!

    By on

I'm always on the lookout for different dog food, because there are so few that aren't owned by big conglomerates anymore. This brand being out of Canada was great because the US has terrible food standards, and this was GMO free and human grade. When I first read the ingredients, I got excited that it had barley, oats, rye, and flaxseed, because those are great ingredient. It had no cheap, starchy fillers. Then I saw the price and was like HOLY COW! I bought it right away! I feed my dogs grain free and it took me a little while to realize after I bought it that it had grains in it, lol. I bought a bag of the legacy as well, and just rotated them. My dogs loved this food! I bought a bag of the legacy as well, and just rotated them. My dogs loved this food! They didn't overeat it, which is a sign its too high on the glycemic index (too high in carbs), and my senior, who used to struggle with hard poops and straining to poop, had much better, easier poops. My younger dog is a bit allergenic, and this food didn't seem to bother him. For the price, you can't really get another food. If you can spend a little more, or if you're worried about grains or allergies, try the legacy or the pulsar. The Legacy is a lower carb grain free formula, and the pulsar for allergies because it has lentils, which are very healthy, and a single protein source. Great company and great food! … more

    lots of poop. Ingredients?

    By on

I like the smell. The dogs like it, but there is just a lot of poo to clean up. You need to be a scientist to understand the ingredients.
