These guidelines are suggested only. Feeding amounts may vary by your cat's temperament, activity, and environmental conditions. Please adjust feeding accordingly.
For Kittens 3 - 10 weeks: Moisten and make readily available. Begin weaning your kitten at 3 - 5 weeks by offering Horizon Complete All Life Stages Cat Food moistened with water. At 6 weeks you can start to feed your kitten according to the chart. Horizon recommends a portion - controlled feeding program. Divide the suggested daily amounts into 3 or more feedings per day. At 3 months, the daily amount should be divided between 2 feedings — morning and evening.
Pregnant or lactating queens: Feed ad lib or several times a day to meet their daily needs. During the latter third of gestation, the amount of food and level of nutrient intake normally increases 25 - 40%. Queens require 2 - 3 times the normal food intake during lactation, depending on litter size.
Keep fresh drinking water available at all times. See your veterinarian regularly.
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time. 1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days. 2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days. 3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days. 4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

I bought this food because I have a 10 week kitten and 3 adult kitties. I didn't want to have to try to keep them from eating each other's food. So, luckily they all like this food. I feel comfortable that they all are getting fed well and it's good for the baby and my older babies.
My cat and my parents 3 cats love this exact food!!!
I am sure the cat food is just fine, but our cat preferred the Ideal Balance food we were feeding her before. The Ideal Balance is no longer available, so it has been a real pain trying to find a new replacement.
