My dogs like the horizon. I top it with ground turkey & rice.
Seems both my dogs like this food. Plain or with a topper.
Our dogs just didn't eat it. We may have finicky dogs though.
After spending hundreds of dollars searching for a brand our picky pit liked, we tried this. He loves it! Actually gets excited to eat now! What a relief. We are sticking with it.
The ingredients are impressive especially with the price so bought 8/2/18. However, my two dogs were not liking it so I mixed in with canned food. Started noticing bloated stomach's and gas (from both ends). Not putting 2-n-2 together, I stopped/changed everything else until it hit me that its Horizon causing the bloating/gas. Stopped 11/26/18 and bloating/gas is gone. *2 stars because of ingredients*
One diabetic dog, and a dog that suffers from yeast. Both have done well with this food. It's hard to keep up with the costs of having two sick dogs. This alternative to a prescribed diet has saved me 30 dollars a month?
I bought this food because it contains healthy ingredients and is for weight control. Unfortunately both of my dogs apparently hate it. I have been mixing it with their regular food to get them adjusted and they leave this in the bowl after eating all of the other food.
If you start reading the ingredients list, you'll think it's something you'd like to eat yourself. Lots of good, healthy things for the dogs to eat.
