    Wow! Chewy rocks!

Great dog food. My guys love it. When I ordered, I told the lady I am really picky about date and I got a bag with an expiration date of a YEAR. That's fresh food!

    great dog food

    By on

I've been having trouble getting my old Lab to eat hard dog food, but she loves Horizon Legacy. However, it is quite pricey, probably since it's from Canada. I suspect that I will continue to order it as long as I can afford to.

    Fantastic food

    By on

I purchased this food after seeing it recommended on a non-biased review site. My dog loves it and I've noticed a big difference in her #2s (MUCH smaller), which is supposedly a sign that the food is high quality.

One of the BEST dog foods available

    By on

Absolute top quality food for all types and sizes of dogs. All of my dogs wolf this down. My Blue Border Terrier, Golden Retriever, Rottweiler, Husky, American Bulldog and Blue Tick/Coon hound cross are all in superb condition due to Legacy. If you read the ratings, this is one of the best foods you can feed your dogs.

    Four paws up!

    By on

It's highly rated on Pet Food Advisor, and both my dogs love it - including the one who frequently skipped meals with every other food I've tried. It hasn't affected their gas production, unfortunately, and I'm a tad worried about the whole grain-free thing after the recent studies. But they get grains in their treats, so it's probably fine.

Probably a decent food, but not right for my pup

    By on

Seems like it is made of good ingredients, got a 5 star review on dog food adviser. The food is a very light brown and it made my dogs poop a very weird almost orange color. I had a very gradual switch over and through the entire bag her poop was never a consistent texture. I am sure the food is good, just not for my dog.

    Too many pea products

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I found this food to have a lot of pea products for such an expensive dog food. Peas are high in protein, boosting the protein content from vegetables, rather than meat. The dogs did like it, but I'm still on the fence about it.

    Healthy Food

    By on

Good nutritional food. My dog likes the flavor and the size of the kibble is just right. (He is a 10 pound small dog.)

    My pup loves this!

    By on

This food is excellent! My dog isn't super picky, but her poos have been really good and not super smelly, which rules. I do supplement with some grains (home cooked rice) because I know where said grains came from. Highly recommend.

    Non GMO Excellent Quality Food

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Continually researching quality foods for my standard poodles has lead to making several changes over the years. I recently discovered the Legacy food on a top 10 list of thoroughly reviewed dog foods and so changed again as I was not comfortable with the food I had been giving them. The poodles like it and so far they're not gassy and their poops are small and well formed. Feeding a non GMO food made in Canada with locally sourced products helps me feel I am doing right by my poodles.
