For Kittens 3 - 10 weeks: Moisten and make readily available. Begin weaning your kitten at 3 - 5 weeks by offering Horizon Complete All Life Stages Cat Food moistened with water. At 6 weeks you can start to feed your kitten according to the chart. Horizon recommends a portion - controlled feeding program. Divide the suggested daily amounts into 3 or more feedings per day. At 3 months, the daily amount should be divided between 2 feedings — morning and evening.
Keep fresh drinking water available at all times. See your veterinarian regularly.
When switching your cat or kitten from another food, transition your food over 6 days by mixing the original food with an increasing proportion of Horizon Legacy Cat and Kitten food until the last day when you can stop mixing.

Cats would rather starve

My two bengals refuse to eat this, even if I bury a few pieces on the bottom of another kind, I'll find those pieces where I left them. It's a shame because I think this is a really high quality brand. Sadly a big waste of money.

I switched our Carolina dog,KeeKee, to Legacy from Origen brand. Our dog loves it ! When I opened the bag of Legacy Salom recipe, our cat jumped on the counter for a taste. She loved it too.

My cats would not even try the Legacy Dry Cat Food - sadly, they much prefer Purina Cat Chow....I will try another brand of "no grain" cat chow.

I love this company - quality ingredients, high protein, grain free. The kibble pieces are very large, but my cat doesn't seem to mind - might not work so well for kittens or older cats missing teeth.. my cat LOVES this food... I feed him a rotational diet and when transitioning him he would pick these pieces out and eat them before his old food and he seems to eat more kibble per day on this food than he usually would... happy cat and fur mom!
