My horse immediately played with this and loved the treat. She managed to eat the whole treat within 3 days and separated the ball another day later. While she loved it, I have no way to put it back together. I would recommend this toy for horses that aren't so rough with toys...

Yummy snacks, but too difficult
By Nickname on Nov 29, 2019
I got this for my horse when I noticed he likes to grab at his feed bucket. I slowly introduced it to him. First, by holding the treat out to him, to make sure he liked it and understood what it was. Then, I held the ball up to him, then the treat on the holder. I hung it up in his stall as directed, and he played with the ball for about five minutes before losing interest. Unfortunately, I think it’s too difficult for him to get to the treat to get a good taste of it. The “apple” top and bottom block access to it too much. But, if I put the treat against a wall, he will eat the whole treat in just a few minutes (if I let him, which I don’t because I know the treats shouldn’t be eaten that quickly I got this for my horse when I noticed he likes to grab at his feed bucket. So overall, it might work for a mini with a smaller mouth or something. But not for my guy. … more

Pieces don’t fit
By Caso on Nov 18, 2019
My horse is on layup and the ball is what persuaded me to try this product instead of a Likit. Sliding the stem through the bottom of the apple is impossible. I’ll either have to alter the bottom piece (probably use a drill to expand the hole) or send it back. Leaning towards sending it back since I don’t want to have to continue to buy refills from this company. Not worth it, get a Likit.

My horse enjoys this product
By Blue on Jul 28, 2019
Both my Paint Horse and Friesian love this, more so for the salt lick or treat. But my Friesian always would push it around, get a kick out of it when he would be in his stall.

Spooked my horse

My mini wants nothing to do with this thing. He thinks it's a monster and there is no convincing him otherwise.

My horse loves these
By KaylaW on Dec 20, 2018
I'm giving it 4 stars only because my horse is able to destroy it, but he absolutely loves them. He's a bit of a terror in his stall at times, and this product keeps him entertained (until he annihilates it anyway) so yeah, I'd definitely recommend. For some of the more normal horses (not mine) at the barn, they last pretty well and are enjoyed by all.

Does not work
By Cassie on Dec 17, 2018
I am not able to use this product as it is was not manufactured correctly. We are unable to put the pieces together. My husband is going to try and take it to work to see if he can pry the rings apart to put the apple on, but has not had time to do so yet. The idea is nice.

Too easy for horse to eat the treat
By Danemom on Oct 26, 2018
I wish it was a little hard for horse to get the great out. My girl ate the whole thing in a day.

Not very durable
By FairwindFarm on Oct 14, 2018
My horse enjoyed this toy for about 8 hours, until he was able to break the plastic apple portion into sharp pieces. I would have expected this to be much more durable. I wouldn't buy it again.
