Adult: Feed 3/4 - 1 1/4 13 oz Cans per 15 lbs of body weight per day.
Puppy: Feed up to twice the Adult amount per day.
Gestation and Lactation: Feed up to 3 times the Adult amount per day.
Adjust the amount of food you serve based on the age, size and activity level of your dog. Food should be fed at room temperature. Promptly refrigerate the unused portion. Fresh water should be available at all times.
A slow transition will be the easiest. Plan for the process to take about a week. Days 1 and 2, mix 25% of the new food in with the old food. If the change is tolerated well, increase the transition to 50% new food. Continue for a few days then increase the new food to 75%, then 100% after a couple more days. Be sure to mix the “old” food with Hound & Gatos – don’t offer each food separately. If transitioning from kibble, you can just add the can as a topper to the kibble. If loose stools occur, keep the ratio of old/new food at the current ratio for a couple of days until the stools firm back up.

Canines Plus Protein = Love

Grain-Free Dog Food Recipes
Hound & Gatos makes grain-free dog food that’s crafted with 84% protein from animal sources and is completely free from peas, lentils, chickpeas, rendered meals, white potatoes or grains. The delicious recipes are made in the USA using fresh meat, poultry, and whole eggs. Taurine and superfoods are also added for a balanced kibble your canine can enjoy during all stages of her life.
Ancient Grains, Healthy Pups
Ancient grains—such as oats, spelt, and quinoa—are high in protein, fatty acids, zinc, and fiber. Adding these to the already healthy, all-natural Hound & Gatos makes for a supercharged meal. There are multiple recipes for your pup to choose from, and all of them are balanced and healthy, so you can’t go wrong.

All-Natural Wet Food for Dogs
You can feel confident when your dog chows down on Hound & Gatos all-natural wet dog food, which is made up of 98% meat, poultry or fish and liver, and 2% vitamins, minerals, and taurine. Plus, there are no meat by-products, fillers, soy, grains, carrageenan, guar gum or artificial preservatives, flavors or colors. Hound + Gatos is a family-owned company that makes all their products in the USA.

Substitute canned rabbit
By DogLover on Dec 30, 2018
Our dog is sensitive to most foods but tolerates rabbit and potato. She normally eats Royal Canin PR formula (canned and dry, mixed), but the canned version has been out of production for at least a couple of months. We're hoping it will come back, but we needed something else until then. We tried a couple of different brands and we've found she likes Hound and Gatos best. According to the label, it's fortified with some vitamins, which some other brands are not. They're not the same vitamins as Royal Canin, but we definitely feel better feeding Hound and Gatos to our dog than some other canned food that has rabbit as its main ingredient but no added nutrients.

Misleading reviews
By catsanddogs on Sep 23, 2017
I'm not sure what the complaints are in the two earlier reviews here. The nutritional info tab says it's 96% rabbit. Single-source usually means the meat comes from a certain place and the manufacturer can track it, not that it's the only ingredient in the can. Liver may be a 'filler,' but it is a VERY nutritional one, and is not a large proportion in the list. I have no interest or connection to this company, other than I've bought their canned cat food, and my cats LOVE it. That's why I'm buying this one for my dogs.

Not all rabbit after all
By IlovemyBitchpoo on Mar 22, 2016
The label of this product estates: "Rabbit, quail, duck, turkey, pork".. those are the first five ingredients. Since when a limited ingredient formula can have several different sources of protein???

Misleading labeling of food
By Charliedoodle on Jul 28, 2015
This product is labeled as 100% Rabbit Formula " Single protein source". It also contain duck liver. (It is my understanding liver is used in dog food as a cheap sourced protein filler.) Very misleading.
