Substitute canned rabbit
By DogLover on Dec 30, 2018
Our dog is sensitive to most foods but tolerates rabbit and potato. She normally eats Royal Canin PR formula (canned and dry, mixed), but the canned version has been out of production for at least a couple of months. We're hoping it will come back, but we needed something else until then. We tried a couple of different brands and we've found she likes Hound and Gatos best. According to the label, it's fortified with some vitamins, which some other brands are not. They're not the same vitamins as Royal Canin, but we definitely feel better feeding Hound and Gatos to our dog than some other canned food that has rabbit as its main ingredient but no added nutrients.

Misleading reviews
By catsanddogs on Sep 23, 2017
I'm not sure what the complaints are in the two earlier reviews here. The nutritional info tab says it's 96% rabbit. Single-source usually means the meat comes from a certain place and the manufacturer can track it, not that it's the only ingredient in the can. Liver may be a 'filler,' but it is a VERY nutritional one, and is not a large proportion in the list. I have no interest or connection to this company, other than I've bought their canned cat food, and my cats LOVE it. That's why I'm buying this one for my dogs.

Not all rabbit after all
By IlovemyBitchpoo on Mar 22, 2016
The label of this product estates: "Rabbit, quail, duck, turkey, pork".. those are the first five ingredients. Since when a limited ingredient formula can have several different sources of protein???

Misleading labeling of food
By Charliedoodle on Jul 28, 2015
This product is labeled as 100% Rabbit Formula " Single protein source". It also contain duck liver. (It is my understanding liver is used in dog food as a cheap sourced protein filler.) Very misleading.
