For Adult cats, feed 1 can per 6 - 8 lbs. of body weight per day.
Kittens require up to 2 and a half times this amount. For pregnant and lactating females, allow free access to food. Adjust the amount of food you serve based on the age, size and activity level of your cat. Food should be fed at room temperature. Promptly refrigerate the unused portion.
If you are currently free-feeding a kibble, the first step is to feed your cat at meal times. Put the kibble down for a 20-30 minute time frame for a few days to help your cat recognize that this is feeding time. Yes, your cat will be hungry at these mealtimes if they have been used to grazing all day long, but this step will help in the transition.
Once these meal times are established, then try introducing canned food. Your cat will either like it and your transition took no time at all, or you may have to keep trying to entice the cat. If your cat will not eat the canned food you have offered, try putting some kibble on the top to entice the cat. If that doesn’t work, feed kibble and try a different protein at the next mealtime. It may take a while – a few day or a few weeks – for your cat to realize that this is food, but remember that you are doing it to better your cats health.

All of my cats instantly pukes after eating this. The gatos chicken wet food is great. I live the ingredients. But this one did not work.
This product is so bad, that my 3 guys try covering up their dishes & walk away, even if they let me know that they think they're "starved"! I have a strong stomach, not for this food - it looks bad & smells worse. None of us are fans... This was an expensive, bad purchase that I won't repeat! Only giving it one star, because I had to... The other Hound & Gatos selections are great - this one product falls way far beyond short!
But after that, my cats won't go near it. The smell is overpowering and something seems off. Having similar issues with other flavors so looks like I'm back to searching for a top quality canned cat foods. Not so happy about having wasted $60 on this case of food.
The package arrived with every single can dented and misshapen, and some of the cans had exploded in the packaging. I would have given 1 star but my cat did love the taste (though he eats everything). Extremely disappointed given the cost.
I’ve checked multiple cans and there are bone fragments in all of them. Avoid if you can.
My cats love love this food ! They are so picky but it smelled just like fish and they went crazy for it. Amazing consistency and it was 98% meat so very healthy for cats . Would buy again !!
Another Hound and Gatos food that gets high grades from Luck and I. This one may be Lucks favorite. With it being so scary what pet food companies can get by with, Hound and Gatos is a welcome piece of mind. I have researched many pet food companies and I highly recommend Hound and Gatos.
I gave this food to both my inside cats and my ferals and they gave it mixed reviews. Some ate a little and others not at all.
Smells awful, has weird white bits, disgusting texture, and my cat won’t eat it.
My kiddos love this, the inside & ferals. Too pricey for the ferals. This is the purest food brand
