Feeding Instructions

For Adult cats, feed 1 can per 6 - 8 lbs. of body weight per day.

Kittens require up to 2 and a half times this amount. For pregnant and lactating females, allow free access to food. Adjust the amount of food you serve based on the age, size and activity level of your cat. Food should be fed at room temperature. Promptly refrigerate the unused portion.

Transition Instructions

If you are currently free-feeding a kibble, the first step is to feed your cat at meal times. Put the kibble down for a 20-30 minute time frame for a few days to help your cat recognize that this is feeding time. Yes, your cat will be hungry at these mealtimes if they have been used to grazing all day long, but this step will help in the transition.

Once these meal times are established, then try introducing canned food. Your cat will either like it and your transition took no time at all, or you may have to keep trying to entice the cat. If your cat will not eat the canned food you have offered, try putting some kibble on the top to entice the cat. If that doesn’t work, feed kibble and try a different protein at the next mealtime. It may take a while – a few day or a few weeks – for your cat to realize that this is food, but remember that you are doing it to better your cats health.

    Worst texture ever

By McKenna on Feb 5, 2021

Smells awful, has weird white bits, disgusting texture, and my cat won’t eat it.

By ChristiW on Jan 10, 2021

My kiddos love this, the inside & ferals. Too pricey for the ferals. This is the purest food brand

Good ingredients but my cat won't eat it

By crazycatlady on Sep 14, 2020

I buy 16 different kinds of food so my cat won't get bored; different brands and flavors. I thought I'd try this food because it has a good ingredient list and my "cat pantry" could use another fish dish. I wanted this to be a hit but my cat, who is not a particularly picky eater (after all, she eats 15 other kinds of food), won't touch this.

    Not a Favorite

By Debra on Aug 11, 2020

My three cats wouln't touch this food...neither would a neighbor's cat I take care of. I did leave it for a feral kitty and the bowl was empty the next morning. It may be a quality food but not for my guys. Also...the appearance of this food is kind of bad...like mush. Sorry to say. Hope it works for others.

    Cat loves but...

By lynnzie on Oct 19, 2018

So my cat absolutely loves this food, my only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be as much food in the can as with other flavors (i.e. higher water content). I can usually get two feedings out of a can of food but with this flavor specifically I only get about one and a half feedings.

    Very Moist Food

By lovely on Jun 27, 2018

Cats loves this one! It's very Moist and soft, palletable and they lapped it right up. One of my cats is a picky eater and the other one is getting old. The picky eater ate his plate up and laid down while licking his paws for quite some time. A little bit on the pricier side by worth it.

For our cats, this is okay...

By BeausMom on Dec 1, 2017

Everything I’ve read suggests this is a good wet food for cats. So the question is more of palatability than anything else. And our cats seem to like it.
