From the best-selling author and star of National Geographic Channel’s Dog Whisperer, it’s the only resource you’ll need for raising a happy, healthy dog. In this book, Cesar Milan tells you how to create the best environment for a well-balanced dog in order to avoid future behavior issues, and shows you how to correct the most common behavior issues in young dogs. Based on his own detailed experiences, it’s like having Cesar right there beside you as your personal expert, coaching you and your dog.

Written in Cesar’s friendly, accessible style, this book is packed with new information aimed specifically at the particular needs of puppies and adolescents, addressing all the common questions and guiding you towards a loving and satisfying relationship with your best friend. Excellent book!

    By on

This had so many sensible, solid approaches to navigating life with a new puppy. Now I'm feeling confident that when I pick up my pup next week, we'll be in good shape to create an awesome, lifelong relationship guided by exercise, boundaries, and affection. Love Cesar!

    Perfect Puppy

    By on

Not enough detail on each subject. I.e, potty training. A lot of examples of his ability to train his dogs but not enough info of what to do if/when/where. Too advanced for this novice need simple step by step.

    Great Product

    By on

This was a gift for a first-time dog-owner from an experienced dog owner. It is a perfect addition to anyone starting or who has an existing canine family.

    Outdated theories about dogs

    By on

There is so much misinformation about dogs and their behavior in that book. I couldn't finish it.

    Training for puppies

    By on

Not what I thought it would be. I thought it would be more about training and how to do it but it seemed to be a book more about basic dog instincts

    Good advice

    By on

This is a well written book. I am going to listen to some of the advice and some I won't. I hope that I won't regret that decision.

    Not really what I expected

    By on

It was hard to read the guides because it overlaps w/ his anecdotes of his puppies.
