To get the most accurate size harness for your pet, measure the girth of their chest, around the widest part of your dog's torso right behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the cloth tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pet's chest for comfort.

Perfect everyday harness
By kseattle on Dec 23, 2020
As with any harness, fit is going to be highly dependent on your dog's proportions, but it works well in the indicated sizes on both my pups who have very different builds - a petite, but athletic 60-lb Golden (wears a 32) and a very lean 30-lb FMD (wears a 24). I wish it had the neoprene padding around the girth also, but otherwise it's a nice, simple harness that works perfectly for everyday and many outdoor pursuits. Love how much reflectivity it has and the ease of use. It seems to be very comfortable (my FMD is somewhat picky about what he wears and doesn't fuss with this) and it's a good combo of streamlined (e.g. as compared to our burlier Ruffwear harnesses), so it fits smoothly under As with any harness, fit is going to be highly dependent on your dog's proportions, but it works well in the indicated sizes on both my pups who have very different builds - a petite, but athletic 60-lb Golden (wears a 32) and a very lean 30-lb FMD (wears a 24). I wouldn't necessarily call it a no-pull harness (though no harness is really a magic wand for that tbh), but you can attach a leash to the front ring if needed. … more

Does not fit
By Snow on Dec 21, 2020
Nicely made harness. Comes on and off easily. But the fit is very poor on my Lab. The only adjustments are on the straps around the chest. In order to fit her (close the buckles) the long strap the goes along the bottom of her chest is loose - sags about 4". Very disappointed.

Terrible design
By Design on Nov 19, 2020
This harness has the hook on the top instead of at the chest so it can truly be a no pull harness. It doesn’t fit quite right with the dimensions given in the description. I will not use this because I feel it would be irritating.

Fits my odd dog
By Mary on Aug 16, 2020
We tried several harnesses at different price points, including the Hurtta weekend warrior harness, trying to find one my gangly 12lb terrier mix wouldn't slip out of. Most were snug in the neck/shoulder but not tight enough around his body, so he would back out of it without even trying. This one fits like a glove. It's well made and lightweight enough for his tiny frame as well, he wears it comfortably on long hikes and playing fetch on a runner, running in and out of the water, etc. with no twisting or chafing. The adjustable parts stay put and don't loosen, even when wet. Highly recommend.

Best harness I've come across in years
By Julie on Jun 26, 2020
This is the best harness. Easy on and off once it's adjusted. My 10 month old Weimaraner pup (got this harness when he was 7 months) calms immediately with this on. I connect his leash to the front ring for better control of pulling when on a walk where there is a lot of stimulation and it has a calming/cradling (?) effect when we go into the feed and pet store. He doesn't jump on everyone and it gives me better control of him when he has his nails trimmed or when he needs to stand still. The colors are as shown (I purchased the purple) and the harness has great reflection when on a night walk.

Hurtta Casual Padded Dog Y-Harness
By Pupmom on Jun 15, 2020
our Min Pin has tracheal collapse so we needed to find a harness that would work for her and our little Chihuahua. Both are deep chested we ordered a few different style harnesses to see what would work the best. We found the "Hurtta Casual Padded Dog Y-Harness" to be the one. It gave ample room around the front legs, our Min Pin is a prancer.. Turned out to be a win for us.

Great color, soft fabric
By Scottiemom on May 26, 2020
I ordered this for my 32 lb, lean border collie with 23 inch girth length. I purchased 24 inch pink harness. The only thing is that the strap passing the middle of the chest is too long but otherwise I’m loving this harness on my pup! It’s padded so soft, durable, color pops!

Great harness
By Kant on Aug 23, 2020
Fits well. Easy on and off. Great support without pull in the neck or shoulder blades.

Nice non restricting harness.
By LHGower on Apr 15, 2020
My only negative is that it fits a bit smaller than the Padded Dog Y-harness. The only difference between the casual and the regular is there are two clips on the part that goes around the chest on this one and only one on the other. Just be aware if your dog is at the top of the size range you might want to size up.
