Our German Shepherd loves this toy. We have the long rod toy and not the ball. She LOVES to play fetch with it and bite its middle to make it squeak. It has held up to daily play for 3 weeks and not even one hole has appeared which is pretty amazing because she destroys most of her toys within a few hours. She is the big breed of Shepherd weighing in at 85 lbs. of pure muscle, almost 11 months old, and who has a powerful bite. The Kong Bone has held up equally well and our strong dog loves it, too, but her favorite toy is this one. So far, I can recommend this dog toy for durability and playability. … more

  • Very disappointed

I have an Australian cattle dog that loves squeaky toys. He's always supervised with them obviously so he doesn't choke if he rip something apart. Did a lot of research and this was supposed to be a really good thing. He loved the sound and it wasn't annoying high-pitched like others. Sadly it's made of a poor quality plastic and he had it in pieces in under three minutes. He just stood and looked at me like, it's dead mommy give me another one. Because I didn't want him to destroy it I gave the other one to my neighbors lab Who doesn't tend to chew very much. They told me it was in shreds in minutes. • OMG Thought I Finally Found Something For My Lab Nope Wrong Answer

    By on

I am very dissatisfied with Chewy dog toys such as these hyper dura-queaks and squawkers they are not tough and not good for those dogs that like to chew or even puppies. I would never recommend anyone to buy these types of toys, but for Chewy products other than toys I would. Our lab had these toys ruined in less than a week they are not durable that is for sure. Now I guess we'll just have to settle for bones that don't squeak like the Kongs but he has one already and does not even play with it.

  • Finally a soft, long lasting toy

    By on

I, like most dog owners find it hard to find chew toys that last more than a few min or a couple of hours. This has a squeaker that is hard for him to get at due to it being recessed in the end of toy. I got the 8" stick. Its flexible for me to make it squeak, but the dog has to work a little to make it squeak, nothing too difficult. Maybe another dog will chew it up fast, but for my med sized dog (boxer / pointer mix) it is lasting a long time. I can throw it in the house easily without destroying my home. Much better than the fire hose quality toys.

  • this one's a keeper

Surprisingly, this has turned out to be our doberman's favorite toy. When it arrived, I thought it would be too small for him, but it's just the right size for his mouth. He loves to chew it, and it's holding up so far, even after a couple of weeks, when some toys won't even last a day. He also loves the squeak, and he even plays with it by himself sometimes. The color does make it easier to find when it disappears.

  • My dogs favorite ball toy, but...

    By on Top 500 Contributor

My mixed review stems from the fact my 2 year old Olde English Bulldogge has chosen these as his absolute favorite fetch ball out of 7 or 8 other brands of ball toys. I don't leave these laying around for him to chew on, because I know that his bully jaws would destroy it in seconds. He goes nuts hearing these things squeak and apparently, he likes the grip he can get on these as he catches them compared to other ball toys. There is just one major problem... I rinse his slobber off these toys after a game of fetch, shake the water out of them, and then place them in a large storage bin inside my house. It's not an air-tight bin. It's a completely dry bin I keep his kibble and dry treats in, as My mixed review stems from the fact my 2 year old Olde English Bulldogge has chosen these as his absolute favorite fetch ball out of 7 or 8 other brands of ball toys. It's a completely dry bin I keep his kibble and dry treats in, as well. However, after a couple months have gone by, I see nasty mold growing inside these toy balls. It's impossible to clean the mold out without ripping the ball apart. Apparently, just rinsing and shaking these toys out causes mold to grow inside of them. This is extremely troubling for me to worry about my dog or myself being exposed to mystery mold. So I've thrown away all 4 of these balls and have to now purchase a different brand of ball toy that my bulldog doesn't like as much. Maybe if the company could add some more air holes in these toys to help with their air-drying process after a slobbery dog or a rinse in water? Idk... … more

  • Durable material but not the squeaker

    By on

My pup loves this toy. He's a heavy chewer so I'm always looking for toys that are durable and don't break after 5 minutes of opening the package. It took him about 2 months before destroying the squeaker inside (which is great for mom and dad) so now he just uses it for fetch. The material is flexible and bouncy so if you play fetch with it it will go in an erratic path making your pup work to catch it.

  • These are impressive.

    By on

All of my dogs will destroy anything with a squeaker, they must get to the chewy center, leaving a massive amount of fluff from one end of the house to the other. Even the unstuffed toys leave a huge mess for me to clean up. These bones are the ticket. They make noise so the dogs are engaged (or enraged, I can't tell) by the sound and will play with them for lengthy periods. I have a pit mix, a little guy of 25 lbs and a giant GSD in the chewing stage. None of them has chewed even a small fragment of the bone off....yet. It's been several weeks and the testing is done. I will be getting a couple of balls on my next order as the bones are not great for fetch. My vacuum thanks you.

  • The best pet toy!

    By on

This is a great dog toy if your dogs love squeak toys. My small and large dogs love the shape because it fits in their mouth like a bone. I love how sturdy this toy is! I do however have one super chewer that chewed a corner off in one day. I bought several of these toys months ago and, even tho they are played with everyday, only my super chewing dog could chew through this sturdy toy.

  • Great for Big Chewers

    By on

We have a very hard time finding durable toys for our Brazilian Mastiff puppy. She destroys most toys almost immediately. She's been working on this one for over a month and it's still holding strong. We ordered the bone-shaped toy, which is actually much thicker than it looks. I was concerned about size, but she seems to like the smaller size for better chew-ability. I was also concerned about the nubs around the edges, because usually those would be gnawed off and scattered through the house within the first hour, but they are still perfectly in tact. I would highly recommend these for anyone with a big chewer at home.
