My 2 Dogs wont play with them!
I have an older pittie and a puppy pittie. Neither of them will play with these at all. I'm really disappointed as they look like they would be durable for these tenacious chewers. I've had them for several months and the dogs will not even look at them and nothing I do to initiate play with them works.
Not for dogs??
I pulled it out of the box when my husband walked in. He thought this was an adult toy for me! Good Lord. AND my dogs don’t even bat an eye at it. I have to step on it to get a squeak. Seems to be a pretty tough toy. Maybe if you have a dog that is hard on toys and likes the rubber-y ones this would be for them.
Dogs tore it apart
Our Aussie Labradoodle was able to rip right through the ball within about 15 minutes. It also isn't easy to get the ball to squeak. We have another ball that looks similar which has been able to withstand both of our dogs chewing on it for months so we were hopeful that we had found another one. Unless you have a pretty small dog and are just planning to throw it a few times for fetch now and then, I wouldn't recommend it.
Durable? No its not
Brand new out of the box & it took less than 3 minutes for a 9 month old Boston Terrier puppy to destroy it before i noticed. I literally just cut the tags off & gave it to her! DO NOT BUY! Thank goodness she didnt eat the pieces!
Awesome fetch toy!
Just like other reviews the squeaker did pop off but my dogs not a chewer so I think it was from repeated bouncing when tossed. For a fetch toy this is awesome and it beats throwing a stick.
choking hazard
Choking hazard. The end came off and could have choked my dog if I hadn’t been watching. It’s not something that would be expected. My dog loves these type of toys and I couldn’t find anywhere. Sadly this one did not hold up.
Dangerous!
Im frequently disappointed with the quality of the so called durable toys I buy for my dogs, but this is a whole new level of BAD. Within minutes of us giving her this toy, and with virtually no effort, my dog was able to pull the end cap squeaker from the toy and swallowed it before we could stop her. We raced to the vet and luckily they were able to induce vomiting and the swallowed piece came up, but given its size it almost definitely would have gotten stuck in her intestine and caused a blockage, according to our vet. Completely unacceptable that a toy this cheap and unsafe is sold at all, much less that it is labeled as a chew toy. Chewy should remove it from their site. Do not jeopardize your dogs safety with this toy.
fun toy but not for chewers
It took 5 mins for my Goldens to chew off the end and get to the squeaker, fortunately I grabbed it before it was swallowed. They love this toy but not sure I’d buy again. Not for chewers.
No-go for my Dobie
My young Dobie had it in her mouth briefly when I gave it to her and hasn’t touched it since.
Super chewer
My supper chewer pup loves this. It’s almost like a silicone texture. This is my second one to buy. He will eventually chewy it to pieces but it keeps him busy
