Kittens and pregnant or nursing mothers should eat a little more. Senior cats and overweight cats should eat a little less. Keep fresh water available at all times.
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time. 1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days. 2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days. 3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days. 4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.
At first I bought the 5 lb bag and he loved it, then I discovered the 11 lb in the salmon flavor and he really loves it! I’m feeling like it’s a healthy food to give him. The bits are small and round so they get all over the place when he dives in, but I don’t mind. I cannot seem to get him to eat any canned food and I like this better anyway, less mess.
Out of 4 cats, none of them willingly eat it. They’re all trying to wait me out on getting something else. They aren’t picky eaters either. It didn’t seem to make anyone sick, but I won’t buy again.
I have tried 2 different flavors because I always buy grain-free. My 3 cats wouldn't eat it. Gave the bags to my sister...her 2 cats won't eat it. Ingredients seem great, but they don't like it.
I have several barn feral cats and was looking for a food that was affordable and healthy so I decided to try the I and Love and You dry food and the cats seem to like it. I'm going to stick with this cat food because of quality, the cats like it and the price is reasonable.
Thankfully my kitties love the flavor and I think the small morsels is a bonus too - great price and quality. So glad I discovered this!
Our babies love this dry food! We have struggled through many different brands looking for a healthier alternative in a dry cat food. We have five cats, so finding a dry food that everyone would eat has been a challenge. We stumbled across this brand a couple of months ago and haven't looked back. All five of our babies look forward to their dry food snacks every evening. They love it so much that we started getting this company's wet cat food as well. They like it just as much. I would recommend this brand to anyone!
Not sure if it’s the size of the kibble, flavor/taste or what but my two girls scarf this food up.
My cats are not particularly picky, so we may not be the best judge of kibble quality. But I prefer to buy grain free and this was one of th best deals I found on Chewy. Kitties seem happy enough with it. Kibbles are a bit smaller than many, little triangle shapes.
My fussy kitties love this brand of wet food, so I thought I'd try their dry food. Not one of my fur babies will eat it. Too bad because it's a good price for a great brand.
I have 4 cats who eat the American Journey Indoor Recipe with Salmon Grain-Free Dry Cat Food. When it was out of stock, I decided to order this one, thinking that my kitties would like this. They generally all love salmon, tuna, anything from the sea, but they will NOT eat this food. The dry food pebbles are half the size of the ones they're used to eating which I thought might be better. However, I've had a bowl out for over 2 weeks and they ate so little, I haven't had to refill it since first filling it up. Your best bet is to try a small bag of this to make sure your kitties like it before getting the biggest bag. Too bad I didn't follow my own advice :D
