  • Great food for a dog with allergies

    By on

My dog was having a lot of skin issues and decided to get him off of chicken. The vet suggested a fish based diet and my dog loves it. It didn't cure his skin problems but it definitely helped.

  • Great alternative to chicken based, grain-free foods

    By on

Our pup is having anal gland issues (problems expressing on her own). Was feeding her high protein chicken and grain free food. From researching, decided to go back to grains, and try fish. So far so good, and may be too early to tell, but we think it's helping with her issue. This food has quality ingredients, and includes beet pulp, which I think is essential for GI health. Wasn't sure at first, but dog seems to love it now.

  • Saved my dog from her terrible acid reflux

    By on

My 3 year old mixed breed (terrier maybe) has had acid reflux since she was 2 months old when I adopted her. She weighs 30 lb and I can't say how great this food has done with her. She finished off her first 4 lb bag and hasn't thrown up since. Every morning she would race to go outside to eat grass and then throw up. My vet told me to give her acid reflux medicine, that helped somewhat but it honestly seemed as if her acid reflux was only getting worse not better. Also, it was important to me to fix the problem and not just pacify it. I could tell how uncomfortable it made her feel. She hadn't touched her old food in days and I realized how out of control her problem was getting (vomitting way My 3 year old mixed breed (terrier maybe) has had acid reflux since she was 2 months old when I adopted her. She is extremely picky about her food (not treats!) and seems to really enjoy this food and has NOT THROWN UP SINCE! This food has literally transformed my baby girl. I mix in a little bit of American Journey's wild Alaskan salmon oil that I bought from Chewy.com along with this food and she eats it right up. She will even lick up the oil by itself she loves it so much. THANK YOU IAMS!!!! … more

  • Highly Recommended from this Vet Tech!

    By on

I've been a vet tech for over 5 years and I'm always picky about what my animals eat. My 3 year old pitty has terrible food allergies including chicken and chicken by-products. I was horrified when I realized the extremely expensive "top shelf" food all had chicken in it even if it wasn't a chicken flavored food. We even tried novel protein diets like buffalo and kangaroo and they too had chicken byproducts! I was really lucky to find this diet AND it helps that it's not crazy expensive. He hasn't had GI issues or an allergy flare up since we started.

  • Excellent for dogs with allergies!

If your dog has multiple allergies, this is a great choice. My Leia is allergic to 24 different things, some food, some outdoor plants, trees, etc. So glad I happened upon this Iams line. Highly recommended!
