MIX IT UP, DOGS LOVE IT: Replace 1 cup (109 g) for each can of IAMS with Chicken and Whole Grain Rice (369 g) FEEDING GUIDELINES: These guideline amounts are a starting point and your dog may need more food depending upon age, activity and temperament. In order to reach optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. This represents the total recommended volume of food per day. You should divide the total recommended feeding amount by the number of times you feed your dog per day to get the actual portion size per feeding.
Remember to have clean, fresh water available for your dog at all times. Because IAMS PROACTIVE HEALTH ACTIVE Adult Dog Food is complete and balanced for adult dogs, you do not need to add vitamin or mineral supplements When introducing IAMS Dog Food, gradually mix it with your dog's current food over the course of 4 days.
Transition Instructions
Change your dog's food slowly over a 7 day period. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet for the first 2 days. On the third and forth days, mix the old and new diets 50/50. By the fifth and sixth day you can feed 75% new diet mixed with only 25% of the old diet. By the seventh day your dog will likely be ready for his or her new diet exclusively. Every dog is different, so be sure to pay attention to your dog’s progress and adjust the transition if needed.

WARNING THIS FOOD MADE MY CHIHUAHUA EXTREMELY SICK
If I could give this food ZERO stars, I would. This Iams Proactive Health Chicken and Turkey dogfood made my chihuahua very sick and lethargic. I thought he was going blind out of nowhere. I almost had to take him to the emergency veterinarian I was so worried for his eyesight and whimpering - which he has NEVER had to make any unnecessary vet visits in his 7 years of age. Fortunately for us both, I was able to figure out the dogfood was the culprit. My chihuahua developed a blank stare with erect pointy ears that would not go down after going through approximately half of a small bag. It seemed okay at first, but it wasn't. He was whimpering as he tried to sleep and he was also very clingy, which is out of the ordinary for him. His eyes became very watery. I stopped feeding him this food for 2 entire days he didn't eat anything but a bit of cold milk. All the side effects he was having disappeared.. He was back to his original monkey-man self. His eyesight also fixed itself. This food poisoned my chihuahua and I do not recommend anyone to buy this. Just know, if your dog has been acting strange, weird, or sick out of nowhere - it could be his food.
Awesome food!
This food is great for small to large dogs (probably not the best size for extra small breeds). My 20 pound Cavapoo loves this food as he is quite active. Very healthy ingredients compared to most foods and at a very good price. Highly recommend. Much better quality than the original IAMS food.
Almost....
I received a bag of Iams Proactive Health for my dog to try. My girl can be a food snob sometimes and this happened to be one of them. She really didn't care for the taste. I wish I could review this product more thoroughly but to be fair she just didn't like it. I had to add toppings to it to get her to eat it. I still love the Iams brand...just not this particular one.
Iams Proactive Health Adult Dog Food
My dog loves the Iams Proactive Health Active Real Chicken & Turkey flavored High Protein Adult dry Dog food. He gets very excited when it's time for him to eat and I bring him his Iams dog food. I haven't had any problems getting him to eat this dry dog food. He hasn't had any digestive issues with this dog food and always wants more after he is finished eating it. I feel good about giving my dog the Iams Proactive Health Active Real Chicken & Turkey flavored high Protein Adult dry Dog food, because it is made with natural ingredients that are good for my dog. I like the fact that it has no artificial preservatives or flavors which makes it healthier for my dog. I received a free sample.
they loved the flavor!!
I received this to try for free and my 3 chihuahuas absolutely loved it. I mixed it in with their regular food and they started picking through their bowl and pulling these kibbles out. They left their normal brand food on the floor around the bowl. I loved the great ingredients and that it is made in the USA. I would definitely recommend trying it for your dogs. I have started purchasing it and doing half and half and my chihuahuas are extremely pleased.
She loved it
I received this as a free product for review for my honest feedback. I fed this to my border collie who is very picky and loses interest in foods very quickly for attention. So I'm always looking for new and different foods for her to try. She really loved this food and didn't actually get bored with this one. I try to find food higher in protein content since she is extremely active and probably burns off more calories than my entire household does in a day. All before 8am. She never shuts off from the moment she wakes up until bedtime and her crate door is "closed" at night. She's now on to a bigger bag of this since she has not gotten bored with it. And we are going on almost a month. When typically she stops after 3-4 days. We will see how long we can go.

It worked great on both fronts! She seemed to have more energy than she had using her old dog food and it was healthy for her with no artificial ingredients. She loved the taste of it, too! I am definitley going to buy more for her in the future.
Good food for my picky eaters
Received this for free in exchange for my honest review. I must say I have very picky eaters! Shih tzu do not like the same food all the time. This was a great food for them though as it provided variety to them. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I purchase higher quality foods for them which have higher nutritional value. This is good as a every now and then substitute though!

My nine year old Maltese loves this Iams chicken and turkey adult dry food. She is picky and yet eats this without having to trick her or anything. I would purchase this after she is done.
