Start by mixing 25% new food with 75% of the current formula. Slowly change the proportions over the next 3 days or so by gradually increasing the new food and lessening the amount of the current food. At the end of the weaning process, you should be feeding 100% of the new food.

Puppies Love It....

We have a small hobby farm. Recently acquired two Great Pyrenees pups. They, Boone and Brita will grow up and protect our farm animals from predators. Iams has all the necessary ingredients to help them grow to their full potential. They eat their Iams puppy chow with gusto! And play with the toys that we also purchased from Chewy. Here is a photo of them at 3 1/2 months of age.

I trust Iams dog food

We started using Iams 7 years ago with our first german shepherd. It was the only dog food he could tolerate with his sensitive stomach. It was a no brainer to continue using it with our new gsd puppy as well! Plus we love Chewy delivery service! The fedex man always spends 10 mins or so giving our dogs extra loving! Making our experience totally awesome all the way around!

I also had another dog who did not like Iams. I am not sure why they do not like it, but based on my two animals I would not recommend. I am going to donate to a rescue...maybe they will find a puppy who will eat it.

Iams and Royal Canin are the only foods that my veterinarian recommends. I have fed all of my puppies iams and then transition them to the adult blends when they’re old enough. We have never had issues with any iams products!

Parker loves her IAMS puppy food

I’ve used IAMS puppy food for a my last 2 puppies. They’ve now grown into adults and eat IAMS Proactive Health adult dog food. I wouldn’t have started Parker on anything else. They all love the taste of IAMS and have beautiful healthy coats. I use the puppy food as a reward during training. Other puppy foods gave my puppies diarrhea and made them itchy. IAMS doesn’t cause these problems.

My 7 week old Husky puppy developed diarrhea from Purina puppy chow. My vet recommended Iams large breed puppy. It worked! No more diarrhea and he can't wait for feeding time.

I have had really good results from Iams food. I have fed three adult dogs Iams senior blend with no problems of any kind, so it was an easy decision to get their puppy food for our new puppy.
