Good nutrition

My golden absolutely loved this and it seemed pretty pack with the right nutrition my only problem with it is i wished they had more flavor options. as we went thru the whole bag, he became disinterested most likely of the repetitive flavor. one time we went to a friends place and he ate their puppy food real fast. So far Chewy only sells this flavor for this brand. Other than that it is a good dog food

not great option

When i got my german shepherd puppy she was already being fed this food so i kept her on it. Well she had a problem peeing all over herself in her crate every night and peeing on the floor as shes running around. (No her crate wasnt too big). After realizing it may not be just because shes a puppy i switched her off this food to see if itll help. She hasnt had an accident in her crate since or peed in the house on accident. She also had bad gas before but its rarely a problem after switching.

Puppy likes

Have new puppy and vet recommended Iams or Purina One. Surprised to see Iams was cheaper than Purina One; so far so good. Puppy likes and even using the nuggets as training treats.

Iams ProActive Health Smart Puppy Large Breed Dry Dog Food

3 1/2 month pup has been on this food since beginning. No problems with this puppy food, and she loves it. She is in excellent health, as verified by Vet visits/exams.

Our puppy loves it, and so does my budget.

We have used this food as recommended by our vet. We have always used Iams with our other dogs too, and have always been satisfied as well as our pups. It is a good budget buy, with good ingredients.

Return Customer

We fed large breed Iams to our previous lab and she was very smart and had good joints. We are planning to feed this to our new puppy and then large breed Iams as she matures.

Great food!

My dog loves the food and has never had any problems with it. But, the last box I ordered came with a large hole in the seam. Without realizing it, the food dumped all over and made a huge mess.

Should have gotten Iams in the beginning

My Boxer/German Shepherd mix, Merry, is now almost 6 months old. When I got her at 9 weeks she was being feed an expensive "designer" no grain food. Her stools were loose and smelly. The vet then told me that dogs are having cardiac issues that are suspected to be related to no grain foods. So I changed her food to another expensive food, slowly weaning her off the first food only to create gas problems. (Boxers are known for their ability to clear a room!). Years ago I raised an Irish Wolfhound puppy (who lived 10 years!) on Iams large breed so I started Merry on it. No gas, smaller stools, proper growth rate, happy puppy, and dog food bill cut in half.
