The black is more like a grey or dark grey green. Its definitely not black. Was disappointed. What got me even more is the logo is metal and raised. My dog caught his dog tags on it. Scare him terribly. Now he refuses to eat out of if.

I love this feeder but have had it less than a month and one of the legs has a large crack that runs lengthwise from top to bottom. It is open (raw wood) and rough.
