I have two border collies so which ifetch would be better
Answer by ChewyOct 09, 2018
The iFetch Too Automatic Ball Launcher Dog Toy is the correct size toy for your dogs.

Does this run on batteries?
Answer by ChewyAug 06, 2017
The Launcher Dog Toy runs on AC Adapter (included) or 6 C-cell batteries (batteries not included).

Does it automatically turn on when a ball is pleased in it, then auto off with no use?
Answer by ChewyNov 17, 2017
To use, press the button on the rear of your iFetch to turn the unit on and place the ball inside. You can use your iFetch while plugged in or on battery.

How is the unit cleaned if need be? Some one mentioned it was hard to clean after many slobbery balls had gone through it. Also what types of ball can be used. I have a 6-7 lb schnauzer!
Answer by ChewyJul 02, 2018
With the unit powered off feed a damp cloth down into the tube and out the front launch area. Pulling the cloth back and forth (similar to flossing your teeth) will take care of one level of dirt. As a bonus (and to get a better clean on the wheels) firmly hold the cloth from the ball hopper end and then carefully turn on the unit and press in the ball trigger to cause the wheels to spin about the cloth. Worst case, the cloth might tear or it might get jerked out of your hand and launched, but it shouldn’t damage the unit. The iFetch is designed for indoor/outdoor use with miniature tennis balls that are 40 millimeters or 1.5 inches in diameter.

launcher is great with a modification, balls not so much

It took a few days for my dog to figure out how to play with the launcher herself and she loves it! BUT...the 3 balls provided basically lasted a day each (they break in half internally underneath the felt cover and can no longer be launched once broken). Also, I think my dog is a bit clumsy and she would often drop the ball right on the lip of the opening and the ball wouldn't go in. We solved this problem by essentially creating a funnel attachment by cutting the bottom off a plastic salad bowl and attaching it to the opening and she's had no problems with that issue since. We actually went through a fair number of balls to figure out one she wouldn't destroy including several kong balls (they lasted a few days longer than the ifetch ones but got destroyed too) and finally landed on tuff balls - so far, they have lasted a week!

Great machine

IFETCH works great my mini dachshund loves it but still after a few weeks she still refuses to do it herself even though she knows how very well! Josie did it once by accident she dropped it in waiting for me to come help. I think she just like someone to play to. She brings us ballls to throw all day!

Ball Launcher great for exercising your pets

I love this and my dogs do as well. I've enjoyed many laughs with this little machine and my dogs as well.

Terrible, never worked

I gave it one star because you can’t give zero, plugged it in, dropped a ball in, nothing, jiggling the plug made it throw one single ball. Figured the electrical was “faulty” so bought “c” batteries, didn’t work that way either. We have a paperweight. Tried calling the support phone number, mail box Is full every single day! In my opinion, it’s a cheaply made piece of junk, hurts because it is over $100!

Ozzie Loves It

Ozzie, our young Yorkshire Terrier, never tires of playing fetch! Sometimes we do, however. So, we were excited to get iFetch. He doesn’t yet feed the ball himself but I think he will learn over time. He does chew the official balls up pretty well. I’m going to look for some that size that are not covered in fuzzy stuff.

It’s a winner

My 18 mths old wiener dog loves it. My 12 year old doesn’t want anything to do with it but no mystery there. Anyways it’s great their exercise. Only issue with my baby is even after an hour he still wants to play.

Waste of Money

This is a really cool idea and my dog loved it. But, we used it 5 times and it stopped working. It no longer launches the balls. So, a use of 5 times for $115 is not worth it to me. I'm really disappointed and won't bother with other versions of this very expensive toy that breaks with very gentle use.

Didn’t last more than 4 playtimes

Very disappointed in this. My dogs absolutely loved it and I was training them to drop ball in. The 4th time we were playing, it just stopped. I thought cord got loose. Nope. It just stopped. But, Chewy being the reputable company it is, is taking it back.

Perfect if Monitored

My dog loved it. After years of play she wore it out. The balls do wear out and you do have to clean the unit of fuzz and slobber. All and all great. I did trim the balls to extend their life and if not playing with the iFetch, you should not leave the balls out to be chewed. My girl loved showing off and would get so excited waiting for each throw. I did have to teach her not to bark at it and not knock it down when balls got stuck but let me wipe it out. She didn't like it when I switched balls during play. It had to be the ball she chose. The games she showed her thoughts and deliberate rules. It was awesome to watch her brain. I am buying another. Thre doggit never worked properly, looked nice but shut off on its own. She found it irritating and let me know it.
