Exactly as in the picture. Hamster loves it and makes a great addition to the habitat
This is made out of cardboard like cat scratchers and came torn
First, big thanks to Christy’s review, as that is what decided me on this product. So I’m not a rodent person and haven’t done any deep dives into rodent care. Currently I’m gerbil sitting. Found this and figured that as gerbils are some of the smallest of pet rodents (so I thought?), the size small would be perfect. Maybe it is? The holes look too small and I had a panicked moment envisioning trying to unstick a gerbil from a cardboard trap. Now I had ferrets for 20+ yrs so I know that spaces that seem too small are often not - boy do I know it. Still, as these gerbils aren’t mine and I haven’t seen all the wild things they may be able to do as far as squeezing into or out of stuff, I cannot give this to them as is. So I ordered the next size up and since they seem to like chewing the corrugated cardboard, I’ll cut the small one (says ‘Tiny’ on tag btw!) up into cubes for them to hide and chew. Who knows, my kid might just have larger than normal gerbils. Regardless, I posted a picture w a quarter for scale next to the hole.
Are your gerbils tired of the same old toilet paper rolls? Are the longer, more exciting paper towel rolls just not cutting it anymore? Have they brazenly and callously eaten the lovingly placed plastic castle? Look no further! Imperial Cat has you covered with this fun edible cardboard hideout. Why risk it with shipping boxes from questionable warehouses? Avoid boredom AND poisoning... opt for the Play N Shapes Cheese Small Animal Hideout instead!
I got the medium for my rats, but it’s too small for them to get into. I have some big tubby rats. Of course this must have been made for mice because it’s the perfect size for them. I’m going to use it as stairs for my rats since some of them are old. They love using it and chewing on it. So it’s a win. I highly recommend it even for rat owners if they have older rats that need sturdy steps to climb.
I knew it would probably be too good to be true that this little hideout was only a few dollars. But I was a little shocked to find that it was literally just cardboard with paper on it. Not really what I was expecting. Not terrible. But I wouldn’t buy it again.
My mice absolutely love this and the size is just right for them to hide inside the holes
I ordered this knowing I ordered a small but didn’t realize it was as small as it was
I got this for my rats but it's too small for them to fit in the holes. Will still use it as an agility obstacle.
I use these in my mouse enclosures as stairs to the water bottles. I love that it also is a chew toy and tunnel/hide. I have 10 females in a 75 gallon so anything that can be used for multiple purposes is a must to keep my girls all busy and entertained!!
