Great for cats w chicken/fowl allergy

Our cat has an allergy with chicken or any fowl and it's really hard to find anything that they like wo fowl as a by-product. They love the food and we love that our cat isn't reacting like he was with other food and treats. Both cats love it.

Cat throwing up less!

Our 4 year old cat has been throwing up the past two years. Sometimes he throws up 4 times a month, other times 3-4 times a week. We've tried ultrasound, pecid, anti nausea medicine for dogs (prescribed by the vet for use in cat), multiple stool samples, hills I/D, hills gastro, purina sensitive stomach, and instant single protein rabbit. We also tried limiting his food intake, feeding him 12 times a day (thanks to auto feeder + manual feeding), wet food only diet, baby food only diet. None of it worked. He still threw up. We decided to try this food because it a limited ingredient dry food with no legumes. It is next to impossible to find food without peas in it these days. It does contain grain and we were okay with taking that risk. There is grain in hills I/D and gastro food, so we figured the grains weren't the problem. This food also doesn't contain random fruits and vegetables like cranberries, carrots, etc like so many other food does. It has a single source protein and grains that assist in digestion. And then a bunch of supplements. That's it. It is fantastic! Look at the ingredients list; it's the shortest possible without this being a raw diet food. He has been on this for for one month now. We used two weeks from November to transition him to this new food to account for his sensitivity. His last dry food was hill's gastro. For the past two weeks, he has thrown up twice. The food came out in a tube like form and the pellets are still whole. So it is more a case of regurgitation than actual throw up with stomach acid (he ate too fast). This is a huge improvement! He was on a bad streak in recent months with throwing up 3-4 times week. We are very happy with this food. We will continue to feed him this and monitor. His issue is not resolved currently, but it is a huge improvement. We recommend this food to anyone who struggles with their cat throwing up often and the vet has no identifiable cause. Our cat prefers dry food to wet food. He is a big fan of this food! We originally ordered the 4lb bag. We ordered the 13.5lb next and the pellets were smaller than the ones from the 4lb bag. Think the difference between pellets from adult cat food and kitten food. We are hoping the next 13.5lb bag Chewy has graciously sent us will retain the bigger pellet size. Our cat prefers to be able to crunch the bigger pellets. We feed him this via the auto feeder. He gets food 9 times a day so he doesn't gobble them all up at once. Every morning we give him a spoonful of hounds and gatos salmon wet food - this is another wonderful cat food with single protein and no legumes! His stool hasn't solidified yet. It comes out in one go, but is only slightly more solid than soft serve. It usually takes him 1/2 months to regain firm, solid stool on new food. Even on the gastro food, which is known to firm stool, it still took him that long. He is not experiencing diarrhea. The poop is normal poop level of stinkiness. We also have a one year cat. That little dude eats anything. He is also loving this food. We will continue to monitor and update this review. Cross fingers this resolves his throw up issues!

A disappointing choice

The ingredients looked so good for this food, simple and healthy, with kinds of seafood I thought my cats would surely like, but sadly, they did not. It's kind of sad, I was so hopeful this would be something I could feel good about feeding without being astronomically expensive. It didn't work out for us.

One of the best

I have a cat with major food allergies: chicken, peas, corn, and soy. It is virtually impossible to find foods that he can eat, as even foods with the "novel protein" tag usually have peas or soy. Plus they are usually filled with fillers, and have less than 30% protein. This food is perfect for him. And both of my cats eat it and love the taste.

More than likely gave my cat bladder stones

I have two cats. They both love it! My cats have been on the fish formula for about 6 months. However one of my cats (hopefully just one) have been experiencing bloody urine recently. Took her to the vet a behold she now has a bladder stone. My vet believes it is due to her diet. Do not recommend this food

Cats LOVE this

I got a free sample of this from I don't remember where. I have 3 cats with all very different tastes. All three went INSANE over it. I used the small bag as treats and they love it enough that every crinkle of a bag means this treat to them, lol. One of my cats actually managed to get in the cupboard and he came out with this bag in his teeth. They all give it 5 stars

Inception Fish Recipe Dry Cat Food

Four of four cats did eat this, but not too impressed. A bit pricey. Would recommend it, since all cats are different.

Not great..

Not a food that I could get anyone to eat, including the office cats.

They all love it

Had to get this for the cats because they were stealing the doggy version from the pup.
