About Fussie Cat

Co-Created by Cats

Instead of just assuming what kind of food cats will like, Fussie Cat lets them call the shots. Each recipe is co-created and taste-tested by cats to make sure your own kitty will love it. Aside from being highly palatable, Fussie Cat wet and dry foods are full of quality meats like boneless chicken, duck, tuna, shrimp and prawns to make sure your little carnivore is getting the protein-rich, feline-appropriate diet she needs.

Made for Meat Lovers

If there's one thing cats crave, it's the rich taste of pure meat. It makes sense, because they're obligate carnivores. Your four-legged friend probably lets you know exactly what she likes, and it's sure to be fish, poultry or meat. Fussie Cat has farm-raised poultry, ocean fish from the South Pacific, and a whole range of interesting seafood options like Threadfin Bream, smoked tuna, mussels, clams and anchovies.

Physiologically Correct Diets

Knowing that cats need meat protein to survive, Fussie Cat developed formulas that they call Physiologically Correct. As true carnivores, their bodies are extremely efficient in processing meat, so 20% of their diet should come from animal proteins. Fussie Cat's foods start with meat, are low in carbs and include a complete spectrum of essential vitamins and minerals. You can be sure your kitty's getting all the necessary amino acids, protein and other nutrients.

Kitty's Choice

With two canned food lines and several tempting dry food options, your cat can always have the dinner she prefers. Fussie Cat Premium is a tuna-based menu that pairs this popular fish with chicken or seafood delicacies. Super Premium is made for chicken lovers with boneless chicken, low sodium levels and plenty of omegas. Market Fresh dry foods are crunchy and delicious, with proteins full of vitamin B12, and antioxidant-rich cranberries and blueberries.

Outstanding Quality Control

Fussie Cat makes their top-quality foods in an FDA-registered kitchen—the same kitchen that produces canned food that's fit for people to eat. Thorough quality inspections are conducted daily for food safety, heavy metals, pathogens, contamination and pesticides, so the end product is everything that you should expect it to be.

About Fussie Cat

Fussie Cat uses a carnivore-friendly, meat-first philosophy to provide wholesome meals that are full of the animal proteins your cat needs to thrive. Meat is always the main course, and carbohydrates only appear in limited amounts. They've created recipes that not only pass the strictest international food safety tests, but also kitty taste tests with flying colors. Cats from all corners of the U.S. will find all their favorites in Fussie Cat's Market Fresh dry foods and flavorful wet foods.

Is this food formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO?
Answer by ChewyJul 03, 2023
This recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages.

Are the cans BPA-free?
Answer by ChewyJun 10, 2023
These cans are BPA-free. For the 13-ounce cans, the inside coating is water-based phenolic acrylic and water-based acrylic for the outside coating. The coating system is a highly technical system that is designed to protect the freshness of the product and to ensure that the cans do not come in contact with the food.

All of my cats love this, even the picky one

I have 1 cat that's allergic to poultry and is notoriously picky, one that's allergic to both poultry and fish, and one that can eat anything. All 3 of them love this food! Also it's significantly cheaper than all the other wet foods on the market that don't have fish or poultry in them while also being free of strange/low quality ingredients or things that cats don't actually eat, like legumes. I hope they keep making this forever because it's literally the solution to all my cat dietary problems!

Great for cats with limited ingredient diets

I have a kitty with 3 food allergies and this wet food has been a lifesaver! No poultry! She seems to like it just fine, and my other kitties will eat it as well. I think the "not a complete diet" is a typo on chewy's end, as both the actual product and the product website say this is a complete and nutritionally balanced diet. From the website "Inception® Red Meat Recipe for cats is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages."

My kitty is a fan

I bought this food when the producer didnt have their other line available (essence). It is a super thick pate' which I know my kitty doesn't care for, so we mix it with some water; that's all it took. Made it the consistency of a push-up/sippy cat treat and he was more than happy to gulp it down. It doesnt seem to rank as highly with him as the Essence brand, but it seems like a solid choice so far

Another Fail

I wanted so much for my cat to like this- she def prefers beef to any other type of meat or seafood, so I was hopeful she would like this- first of all it doesn't even look good out of the can- it is more like a pate- not meaty or chunky like I would expect it to be. She sniffed it and went on about her business. This stuff is expensive, so now I have a case of food that our local raccoon wildlife will enjoy- they'll eat anything.

Would not recommend this product

Bought this for the first time. All 7 of my cats would not touch this food, it is a very pasty consistency, almost odorless food. Very disapointed due to the hefty price of this food. was looking for a high protein meat content food, and this sounded like just what i was looking for. All i got was a waste of over $50. I would not recommend this food at all.

Not cat food

This is not cat food. The feeding instructions say it is a treat and should not exceed 10 percent of your cats caloric intake so heads up
