Great When it Works
I’ve owned this for a couple of months now and, until today, would have given it 4-5 stars. There have been 1 or 2 occasions in the past when it missed a scheduled feeding but today it just disconnected completely and wiped its memory. I had scheduled a 10g feeding every four hours and it missed the 8 AM and noon feedings before I noticed. I had to reconnect it to my WiFi and re-enter all six feedings. Thank goodness I was home and could get it working again. I’m scheduled to go into the hospital in a few weeks and was counting on Tigger being taken care of. Now I will spend most of my time in the hospital wondering if he is being fed or not. I don’t know if it’s the device that’s faulty or the app but the combination is definitely unreliable.
Decent feeder with glitches
I have a cat who is on a urinary diet, and I need to make sure he’s getting the right portions while I’m out of town for a week. We have been using the feeder to test it out. It was easy enough to get set up, but the app is a little awkward. It is not washable with soap and water, which I didn’t realize. you can wipe it out with wet paper towels, so that’s kind of gross imo. My kitty was scared of the dispenser, but has gotten used to it and doesn’t run away anymore. he knows that’s HIS food, but the other kitty still tries to eat it. It is nice because I can portion out what he needs, BUT i actually measured it and 50g according to the machine is actually 80g of food— which is sort of a big variation when my kitty has to eat a specific amount of food. I wish that it would dispense a smaller portion because I have to be super diligent that the other cats aren’t eating his food, and he doesn’t always eat a full portion at a time. The biggest issue is that after about three weeks of usage, and probably the 3rd time filling it, it keeps telling me I’m low on food. repeatedly and a lot. It’s really annoying because it is full. It also doesn’t always dispense when it’s supposed to. I’m now worried it will be having issues when I’m out of town. But it’s too late to get a different one for this trip.
Great designed product
Beautiful aesthetic design especially the top glass part! SO easy to use and connect. What I really like is if you’re in a hurry and you can’t find your phone to dispense the food, just press the circular button 3 times (which is what I’m doing MOST of the time in my heels and in a rush!) Just make sure the kibble size is not too big otherwise it may get stuck and not dispense so I use the smaller kibble size to be safe! Love the feeder though :)
Seemed pretty cool at first…
This seemed promising at first. It’s definitely better designed and much less of a hassle than our previous “dumb” programmable feeder. Connecting it to my wifi and syncing with the app was nearly flawless, but it’s also when the first signs of weirdness cropped up. The biggest problem is that measurements are NOT accurate. What this calls 10g is 13-14g, which is a decent difference when it comes to total daily calories (especially if your kit put on a little lockdown weight). This seems to portion by volume, not weight, so *your* brand of food might only weigh 10g per portion, but definitely check it for yourself if calories are a concern. Also, in the little feeding history area, it reported I’d fed my cat 200g/food in a single day- it was only 20 “grams,” which is two “portions” on this thing. The final weird thing I’ve found so far is in the scheduling section it has a part called “number of copies setting”. That, I… I got nothin. This might need to go back due to the lack of precision and control over portion sizes. If I feed my guy the minimum amount twice during the day, he will already be over his calorie requirement, which is equal to 25g of his food per day.
Not reliable.
I bought this feeder so I could leave my cat for the weekend without needing someone to check on him twice a day for feeding, and so his feeding schedule didn't rely on my work schedule. At first I thought it worked great, I got notifications while I was at work that he had been fed successfully. But now when I am home I will get a notification that the "feeding was successfully executed" but when I look at the bowl, no food was actually dispensed. This has happened multiple times where I am sitting next to the feeder and no food has been emptied when it says it has. I can't trust that this feeder is actually feeding my cat while I'm away. Do not recommend.
Problem solver
I purchased this feeder after reading the reviews and I am so pleased after using it. I am a working person and it’s common issue for pet owners to leave their pet at home alone, but this product resolved my all concerns as it gives me a meal scheduling option just from the app and app is really easy to run and it takes few seconds to connect with device it includes lots of options that you can utilize according to your necessity. My pets are really enjoying their new feeder as well. Recommended to all pet parents!
Initially optimistic... But didn't function
Was really hopeful in purchasing this, couldn't tell because there were great reviews and terrible reviews. Sadly my experience was poor. I was very excited when first loading and setting it up on app. However, immediately knew I had a problem and it wouldn't be functional. No consistent food amount dispensed if there was a significant amount in holder. I purchased specifically to help with a vacation, which would have required filling it near capacity. If you are using it for daily feeding, could be functional.
Love with this feeder
I always afraid of excessive feeding and it’s too difficult to feed pet with suitable amount and need a lot of time but answer to my afraid is Purebite feeder. As it dispense only the specific amount which we want to feed to our pet like 10g. This feature really worth it for me. Highly recommended!
Smart feeder
I have been using it from a 2 weeks now. The item arrived as described and it works as described. The instructions for programming were very clear, easy to set up. It is really well made with high quality materials. I can schedule the meals and now I can sleep in the morning. I am very happy customer.
Easy to use
I bought this as I was going on holiday and wanted peace of mind. Very easy to set up and, once I had read the instruction, was easy to set up meal times and portion sizes. Also, I love the design and material. Great purchase!
