good food but messy

Wish the frozen nibble can hold in better shape when thaw. Hold shape when frozen but dog cant eat frozen. when thaw is like melted butter and became messy. Overall good food with good nutrients for my elderly dog

My dog wouldn't touch it

My dog wouldn't touch the food, not alone, not with regular kibble, not with treats. Neither would my moms dog or cats. I really looked forward to it because it suppose to be healthy.

Normally, I am impressed with this product and shipping. However, the last shipment was Not prepared with ice and was thawed. Entire package had to be thrown out. I am asking for a new delivery or credit.

My dog loves this

I gave this 4 stars because I have 2 larger pitties and they only have the senior type in a 3 lb bag. I went through it in 2 days :( I have used the Chicken many times. This food thaws out fast. My advice is to make a plate for your dog, let it sit out for 5 minutes and then give it to them. It will still be somewhat frozen but it kinda melts in your dogs mouth. If it thaws out completely it will be too mushy. This is what I do and they love it. And IF you get a bag thats all frozen together return it because it may have thawed and the store refroze it and when that happens bacteria grows. All the nuggets should be frozen and not stuck together. Hope this helps.

Finally Eating Each Meal

My dog would barely eat her food when we were on kibble. Now that she is fully on raw, she eats every meal without me trying to coax her. She prefers it frozen and not thawed, so I just scoop it right from the freezer and into her bowl. Easy.

Good, but hard to serve.

I got the frozen bag because it's 3lbs, whereas the senior freeze-dried is a bit smaller and more expensive. My older girl, 12 year old husky mix, likes this food HOWEVER it was completely thawed out when I recieved it and re-freezing made it a huge mess and exceptionally hard to break apart enough to even feed. I'm thinking about throwing the whole bag away and getting the freeze-dried stuff. If you can find it in stores, make sure it's not a solid block and then you're good to go. I can't find it anywhere, however...

Finally, I was able to find a healthy and high quality diet my picky Pomeranian adores! She is a finicky eater and turns her nose up at most dog foods, but she truly enjoys Instinct Bites.
