Pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece

Pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece

They put the pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece of Instinct Original by tumbling their kibble with crushed, freeze-dried raw — raising the bar in nutrition and taste.

The Pure, Real Nutrition of Raw Is In Everything Instinct Does

Instinct's Responsibility as The Raw Brand

LEAD WITH RAW

It all started with Instinct's raw pet food. Since the beginning, they've led with raw because they know the good it can do. They're rewriting the rules of pet food and championing raw nutrition to bring its superior benefits to all that they do.

KEEP IT REAL

Delicious and nutritious pet food should only use real ingredients. For Instinct, this means all-natural, real meat, fruits and vegetables, with nothing artificial.

MAKE IT SIMPLE

Feeding raw should be simple, and it should easily fit into your everyday routine. Instinct believes raw should be accessible to pet parents so every pet can experience the benefits of raw nutrition.

GIVE BACK

Instinct believes in the power of raw nutrition. It only makes sense to share it. Together with Best Friends Animal Society, they're furthering the no-kill movement and their shared mission of transforming and saving the lives of pets.

MAKE IT BETTER

Instinct has never been afraid to challenge the status quo of pet nutrition. They continuously redefine what better means—always pushing their standards of nutrition to raise the bar in pet food.

Pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece

ONE MILLION MEALS

All pets deserve food that's real, nutrient-rich, grain-free and natural. That's why Instinct provides over one million meals annually to the dogs and cats at Best Friends Animal Society adoption centers nationwide. Because what we feed them can make all the difference. Here "we" refers to the pet parent, not Instinct.

About Instinct

Instinct believes deeply that it's up to them to find a way to make it possible for more people to feed their pets the pure, real nutrition that only comes from raw. They know that if they can get the nutrition of raw into more bowls, they'll transform the lives of more pets. And that's really why they do what they do.

I researched the heck out of kitten food and felt Instinct was the best choice for my kitties. I switched them over to Instinct and Blue Buffalo from the Purina Kitten Chow that they were eating when I adopted them at 16 weeks of age. I currently mix it 2 cups Instinct to 1 cup Purina One Kitten to make it go a bit further, since it is fairly expensive. The kittens are now 6.5 months old and are thriving! Their coats have gone from dull and coarse to silky soft and shiny, and they have tons of energy! The vet even commented on how beautiful their coats were! The kibble pieces are flat little disks, and seem to be easier for them to eat than the round pellets found in Blue Buffalo, which was one I researched the heck out of kitten food and felt Instinct was the best choice for my kitties. • 7 wk kitten smashes this food

    By on

Picked it up because it has a high fat content and highest calories/cup I could find. Was born in my crawl space under the house, so has eaten raw/nursed it’s whole life. Mostly butterflies, moths, lizards, the occasional mouse, crickets and grasshoppers, cicaedas, and probably birds. So, at 6 weeks, I adopted her. These cats CANNOT keep staying in my crawl space. They’ll all be spayed and neutered, and vaccinated and hopefully socialized and adopted out in time. So this one has been picky. She’s eaten TOTW and this stuff. Kitten chow, no, fancy feast kitten, no,... and only TOTW canned and this canned stuff is what she’ll finish. Besides, the litter box is tolerable on this stuff. • Great cat and kitten food

    By on

A great cat and kitten food. It has Bentonite Clay in it, along with probiotics and free range chicken which is very beneficial for cats and kittens. Cats and kittens need their Vitamin K2 which is easily obtained from chicken that is free range. Cats need all the beneficial vitamins also like K1 and D3 which is also in this food. That is good especially since cats and kittens don't get their Vitamin D from the sun and being outside (they only get it from their food). I had very sickly cats and kittens UNTIL I started feeding them this food. Now they are all very healthy cats and kittens. There is also Bentonite Clay which is a great detox not only for cats but also for humans. This food A great cat and kitten food. • Kitties don’t like it

    By on

I just brought home 2 8-week old kittens. One of them, Bella, eats it if she gets hungry between meals and has no other choice but the other one, Corsten, won’t even try it. I tried mixing it with food they actually do like but they seem to eat around it and Corsten even spits it back out if he gets it in his mouth. Great ingredient list but sadly, not for my babies :(

  • My ferrets love it!

    By on

My ferrets are somewhat picky and will not eat a lot of different foods. The first time I gave them this they ignored their other food and went crazy on this. Even my cats love it and I have one that is extremely picky. This food smells a lot fresher than some others and I love the little bites and I know my ferrets and cats are getting a good quality nutritious food now.

  • My picky eater loves this food

    By on

George just turned 12 weeks old. Even at this early age, he has definite opinions on what he likes. He has refused 4 other highly rated kitten foods. Now he is eating this food with gusto. I am so happy and thankful that I have found a quality kitten food he enjoys.
