My two kittens were on the Purina Pro Plan chicken and Rice dry food from 9 weeks old to 18 weeks. In that time, one of my cats would always poo like soft yogart consistency. At first, I thought to give her time to get used to the food I was giving her than what she received before from the breeder. I decided to change the food diet to grain free as I had researched that a lot of cats are sensitive to grains. I thought it might be possible with one of my cats. I came across this brand: Instinct. I am happy to report I am over joyed how my two cats ate so much! They have never enjoyed their food like this! Also, my sensitive cat - her poo poo turned normal consistency! • Kitten Approved!

My kitten instantly found the food in the box I ordered from Chewy, and when I went to put it away in the cabinet, he meowed at my insistently until I let him have a taste--even though he'd just had his dinner! Even now that he's had it several times he can't get enough of this stuff. I think he even likes it better than the canned wet food!

  • Finally, something my end stage CKD cat will eat!

    By on

I have a 19 yo, skin-and-bones, end-stage CKD cat who is an extremely picky eater and throws up most of what she eats. I have tried numerous different varieties of foods: wet, dry, broths and human. I chose this because of the high calorie content and the hope that the kitten kibble would be smaller and easier for her to eat. Before this food, she was eating her cat litter to self-medicate and very little of anything else (clay will bind phosphate and other molecules normally filtered out by the kidney). She immediately took to this food and in the week since, hasn't puked once that I know of. She was previously puking every day, whether she had eaten or not! And, no more eating her litter (there I have a 19 yo, skin-and-bones, end-stage CKD cat who is an extremely picky eater and throws up most of what she eats. • Great Stuff

    By on

My new kitty really loves this stuff. It is loaded with goodies to make him grow big and strong without all of the fillers, byproducts and meals. It may cost a little more up-front; but in the long-run, they don't eat as much as they would on regular commercial cat foods.

  • Nice Product

    By on

I got two kittens at home and they love the food! One of my kittens has very sensitive stomach and normally he has diarrhea whenever there's a slight change in food. However, when I gave him this dry food, he's doing fine! The other kitten also loves this food! Would buy again!

Jazz, my kitten seems to really love this food and eats well.It seems to be very healthy for her. It is all I have fed her since I got her at 6 weeks old and her check up at the vet was very good. No issues at all.

  • Best Food for Pure Bred

Only food I feed my purebred Siberian cat. I supplement it with the wet food also (the canned kitten chicken and sometimes the limited ingredient turkey also).

  • Took a bit but they like it

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I have two new kittens and one was on a different brand of dry food. It was not a quality food, so I transitioned them to this. They did not love it right away, but now they do. I am so happy they like it as I believe it is a quality food.

  • Great cat and kitten food

    By on

A great cat and kitten food. It has Bentonite Clay in it, along with probiotics and free range chicken which is very beneficial for cats and kittens. Cats and kittens need their Vitamin K2 which is easily obtained from chicken that is free range. Cats need all the beneficial vitamins also like K1 and D3 which is also in this food. That is good especially since cats and kittens don't get their Vitamin D from the sun and being outside (they only get it from their food). I had very sickly cats and kittens UNTIL I started feeding them this food. Now they are all very healthy cats and kittens. There is also Bentonite Clay which is a great detox not only for cats but also for humans. This food A great cat and kitten food. I recently switched my kitten (16 wks) over to this food. She was previously on hills brand that gave her bad diarrhea and gas. She seems to be doing well on this food and eats it pretty well! Very happy with it and the ingredients!
