  • Maybe my cats are spoiled

    By on

My cats like NV canned but no matter how much I dress up the beef, they refuse to eat it. They will completely go without eating rather than eat this flavor. I have a half case I'm going to have to donate because my brats are picky.

My Kitty ate this, but you could tell she didn't care for it. She didn't clean the bowl, like she does with the chicken. Very thick Pasty. Wont buy again, Thanks Chewy for refunding this Item.

  • They don’t like the taste

    By on

We bought several cases of this food (chicken flavor and beef flavor) because it was grain free. Sadly, my 6 cats dislike the flavor of both of them. We are having to mix it in with the food that they do like in order for them to eat it & get it used up. :(

My finicky cats wouldn't eat this. I tried it several times without letting them eat anything else. My chickens liked it though. Ha, ha!

  • Red Meat Fan

    By on

My 8 year old cat has become a red meat fan - beef, venison, lamb, rabbit, buffalo. And Instinct is my favorite brand - looks and smells good enough to serve with crackers ! After the passing of my 15 year old furry companion, my 8 year old no longer had to “compete for food” and he rejected the special diet chicken & fish food the older cat had to eat. Thank you Chewy for carrying such a wide variety of quality food in variable sizes to choose from.

  • My cat did not like the beef

Instinct is a very high quality of can food. I would highly recommend it, though my cat did not like the beef flavore.

  • delicious cat food!

    By on

My cat loves this food. Unfortunately she has developed a sensitivity to fish, even fish broth, so she can no longer eat this food. The dogs are very happy because they get the leftover cans (mixed with water) as a gravy over their kibble--yum yum.

  • Beef Food is Too Dry

    By on

I absolutely love the Instinct brand and so does my cat... it has worked wonders on her sensitive tummy. However, the beef wet food was definitely not a hit. It was extremely dry and thick with a white film on top. My cat wouldn't touch it even when I added some water to it, and she is not a picky eater. She loves the chicken and salmon and we've never had an issue with either of those, but I will never buy the beef again. Pretty much all of it went to waste. Something is clearly wrong with it.

  • This cat food is a pate.

    By on

I have to add some water to this cat food because otherwise it’s hard and dry. It has white flakes throughout which I assume is calcium carbonate since it’s listed in the ingredients. It doesn’t look very palatable but my cats do like it.

  • Disgusting!!!

    By on

Let me just say that I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to warn people about this particular flavor, Beef. I have used several cans and it is extremely dry and pastey and there is all this white fatty gunk throughout. I think it's fat. I have 4 cats. 2 are extremely picky and don't really like beef at all but my other 2 young cats (Fiddle and Cello) eat whatever is on the menu. They ate this the first couple of times but I tried serving it again the other day and Fiddle refused it. He is not picky but when I put it down he smelled it and he looked at me like I was crazy for feeding this to him again. It's not juicy at all and the white fat makes it inedible.
