  • Healthy food Happy cats

The consistency of this food is perfect. My cats love a bit of moisture in their canned food so this is their very favorite entree. The? taste is very pleasing to them. It is also rated very high on the nutritional scale which is extremely important to their overall health. My 12 year old cats are frisky, alert, and affectionate - exactly the way I want them to be for another 12 years! Instinct is not inexpensive but I will continue to feed it to my cats for as long as I can afford to.

  • He likes it!!!

I have a very picky young man, and after Wellness discontinued his favorite TruFood flavors I tried a few different foods (including other Wellness products) that just didn't pass his test...until now. He didn't have a problem transitioning to Instinct and I am a very happy mom. Instinct makes a great quality food, and although the price is a bit higher than others it's worth it to keep my boy happy and healthy.

Both of my cats love this. I alternate between the duck and the salmon flavors. One of my cats (the fatter one) eats both well and the other one really prefers the salmon. I’m happy with the ingredients and the purrballs are happy with the flavor. They’ve been on these two exclusively for 6 months and they seem to be doing well.

  • recommended product

This product was recommended by someone versed in alternative healing methods for our finicky kitty who was terminally ill in effort to improve her nutritional intake. Kitty liked it and it helped her maintain her weight to the end. Decided to feed it to our healthy kitty too and she absolutely loves it!

  • So many bones in the can

    By on

While my cat is still eating it, I am not a fan of the new formula for her at all - too juicy and too many small bones. I'm switching it out - tired of worrying about her eating the bones.

  • Great food

I have a 14yr old pampered Persian that is very picky and recovering from gallbladder surgery. The salmon and rabbit instinct are the only foods he likes and does not make him sick.

  • Great ingredients

Although I thought it was a great food choice, my kitty wasn't as impressed. I would still recommend it though, no doubt some cats would love it.

I thought my cat liked it at first but I noticed she was just dealing with it and was eating it just cause she was hungry.

  • Good Stuff

    By on

My little boy just loves the Instinct salmon wet food. He used to eat beef and chicken but now he will only eat the salmon. Go figure! Instinct is the only food that doesn't have fillers in it. He is alergic to chicken and it was really hard trying to find cat food that didn't have some kind of chicken by product in it that he liked. Thank you Chewy for carrying Instinct brand.

  • My cats do not like this food.

    By on

When I first opened a can of this wet food, my cats ate a small amount of it, but after that they have snubbed their noses up at it. I have not given them any since. I plan to try again to see if they will eat any. Maybe tomorrow morning. This food is expensive and I was terribly disappointed that they don't seem to like it.
