    My Picky Cat Loves It

    By Stew64 on Jul 26, 2021

My cat has developed food allergies from 13 years of eating cheap big brand cat food. She’s not a fan of variety and would only eat 2 ocean fish flavors. Because the meds for her skin allergies affects her immune system, I decided to switch her diet instead. I was not looking forward to the switch because My cat has developed food allergies from 13 years of eating cheap big brand cat food. She’s not a fan of variety and would only eat 2 ocean fish flavors. Because the meds for her skin allergies affects her immune system, I decided to switch her diet instead. I was not looking forward to the switch because we’ve tried before without success. Uncertain / Mixed Impressions

My cat is a neighborhood stray. The town name is Wabasso - Native American for "White Rabbit". Guess what my Patrick lived on while he was outdoors... that's right, rabbit. The town name is Wabasso - Native American for "White Rabbit". Guess what my Patrick lived on while he was outdoors... that's right, rabbit. I thought this would be the closest thing to providing the diet he is accustom to with the nutrients he needs. It's nearly a month into attempts to dish this to him and at best he eats a few bites then rejects the rest and 3/4 of the can goes to waste. He will not eat it after the can is opened. This makes me wonder does it spoil so quickly that if the entire can isn't gobbled up within minutes of opening, it's garbage? Is my cat just a fussy jerk? Has the batch that I ordered gone awry somewhere along the process of production, or delivery? I refrigerate wet foods during the Summer so I discount the possibility of error happening after delivery... I do notice that his stools are firm since eating this one so I'm considering that he may be attracted to eat it though has an imprint that it hurts him if he does eat it. At this point I have to consider it a fail; the remaining cans I'm going to put aside in my refrigerator and try to feed them to him again in the cooler months. I desperately searched for a nutritious wet food that doesn't contain Chicken as I suspect that ingredient causes him loose stools and itchy skin... poor dear. {Sorry I sometimes think you might be a jerk Patrick} Good / Better Luck to all the cool cats out there! … more
