LEAD WITH RAW
It all started with Instinct's raw pet food. Since the beginning, they've led with raw because they know the good it can do. They're rewriting the rules of pet food and championing raw nutrition to bring its superior benefits to all that they do.
KEEP IT REAL
Delicious and nutritious pet food should only use real ingredients. For Instinct, this means all-natural, real meat, fruits and vegetables, with nothing artificial.
MAKE IT SIMPLE
Feeding raw should be simple, and it should easily fit into your everyday routine. Instinct believes raw should be accessible to pet parents so every pet can experience the benefits of raw nutrition.

MAKE IT BETTER
Instinct has never been afraid to challenge the status quo of pet nutrition. They continuously redefine what better means—always pushing their standards of nutrition to raise the bar in pet food.

About Instinct
Instinct believes deeply that it's up to them to find a way to make it possible for more people to feed their pets the pure, real nutrition that only comes from raw. They know that if they can get the nutrition of raw into more bowls, they'll transform the lives of more pets. And that's really why they do what they do.

Great Food, Good Price
By AlyW on Dec 2, 2020
I know, I know. It’s a little pricey, especially for the size bag. However, the ingredients are great, it’s a respected brand, and my dog absolutely loves it. I’ve read a couple of reviews where the reviewer complained their dog wouldn’t eat it. My recommendation would be to get the smaller bag to try, and if it doesn’t work out, you only spent a bit. If it does, your dog will be eating food that’s incredibly good for them! If you’re considering, just do it. You likely won’t regret it :)

I really wish
By charlie on Sep 9, 2020
I wish that Izzy liked this food. She is a 10 year old Cairn/Yorkie mix and went on a hunger strike for 2 days until I got other food for her. She's pretty fickle, so I don't think it is the food's fault!

Switched from Gastrointestional food
By Laura on Jun 13, 2020
Excellent ingredients in this food. Organ by products which dogs love. I was looking for a more nutritional food for my 1 and 13 year old Yorkies. They love this product. I do still give them royal canon wet gastro food, but I see an improvement in their energy levels, may switch to instinct wet food as well soon.

Instinct of food
By Sandy on Apr 17, 2020
The best I have used it was not as palatable to her as some of the cheaper brands, but, now that she has been on it for two weeks she loves it.

All four love this food
By Yorkiemom315 on Feb 26, 2020
I am so happy all four love this food. They started eating it while I was pouring it in their dish. It is rated five stars by Dog Food Advisor. I will be feeding the Solid Gold too.

Good but not for us
By Maria on Oct 9, 2019
This food was a great upgrade from a previous uninformed Pedigree purchase. My dog loves it to the point I can even use the little kibble as low-reward treats for reinforcing previously learned tricks. However, my dog seems to have a sensitive stomach and while this is good enough to keep him happy and diarrhea-free (most of the time) it might not be the best option for puppies like him.

So disappointed
By Lisa on Jul 25, 2019
My three dogs won't touch this food. A waste of a lot of money! I should have gotten the smallest amount possible to test it, but with all its goodness I expected them to be crazy about it. Just like health foods for people, they sound good but often don't taste good, lol. I guess we will have to sustain the loss of $ and go back to a brand that's less super-premium.

Our two Chihuahua/Terrier mix dogs like this food.
By LittleBear on Sep 22, 2019
Grain free, however I supplement their diet with oatmeal and vegetable or fruit treats that I make, plus slices of sweet potato that I dehydrate in the oven.

Instinct by natures original small breed grain free recipe dry chicken dog food
By Charlie on Jun 26, 2019
I have spent a lot of money on the best dog foods and treats offered and my dog would not eat any of the foods I bought. My credit card overflowed with charges and I was at my wit’s end trying to get a food he would eat. I finally decided to give up after trying toppers and all types of dog foods. I then decided I had to do something before my dog became ill from not eating. I went to where his breeder was and asked her what I could try so he would eat. She gave me what she had fed him as a puppy and told me to give him half the amount. We are going on day 2 and he has eaten this food. I have nothing against chewy because they have a great amount of different dog foods and the people I spoke I have spent a lot of money on the best dog foods and treats offered and my dog would not eat any of the foods I bought. I just wanted to share this with you all at Chewy and with other dog owners who have problems with their dogs eating and maybe Chewy could ask some breeders for foods they sell and start selling them at Chewy. I just hope he keeps eating this food. It is not one that is exclusive to the breeder but it seems like it is working for my very finicky dog. And he is a real finicky dog. I give only one star to this brand because like this and many others I purchased he refused to eat any of the brands and they were the top ones available. But if he changes his mind I will be back with Chewy asap. … more

Good so far
By Maya on Aug 23, 2019
I just started my chihuahua on this food and it’s so good so far. She likes the kibble size is small compared to her puppy food she use to eat.
