Does anybody know if the raw boost for toy breeds is any smaller than the raw boost for small breeds?

The toy breed kibble is smaller in comparison to the small breed kibble.

How many cups are in the bag?

There's approximately 4 cups in every one pound of dry dog food. The 4-pound bag contains approximately 16 cups of food.

Does it need refrigeration
Answer by ChewyApr 20, 2021
This recipe should be stored in a cool, dry place. Unopened freeze-dried food has a shelf life of two years, keeping in mind not to exceed the printed expiration date. Once opened, the food is fresh for up to 30 days as long as it’s resealed between feedings.

Is this food okay for toy breed puppies under 6 months ?
Answer by ChewyFeb 12, 2022
Instinct Raw Boost Grain-Free Recipe with Real Chicken for Toy Breed Dogs is formulated for all life stages except for growth of large size dogs (70 pounds or more as an adult).

Raw boost toy breed kibble

I followed the instructions on adding the new food. My dogs don't like it.

Good-could be better

The picture gives the impression they have quite a fewkibbles in every bowl but they are actually pretty sparse. I already went and ordered a bag of only chicken kibbles to fill in to her meal to look like the picture on the package. My doggie is happy now and enjoying this food. But that means I spend alot more for this food and extra kibble.

Dogs love, but it has peas

I have been mixing this product in my picky eater’s regular food (Nulu small breed with salmon) and I notice he is eating all of his food instead of nibbling and leaving some. But I wish the ingredients omitted peas, since a recent study has linked peas with cardiac problems leading to premature death, especially of little dogs. I just noticed the pea ingredient, and am stopping this food immediately. I will try Instinct Freeze Dried Raw Boost Mix instead, seeing that this recipe omits peas.

Super Pleased!

I have a picky eater. She is spoiled and wants to have rotisserie chicken mixed in with her food. This has proven to be problematic so I’ve tried a couple of different foods but she’s demanded a little extra flavor. I can’t believe she gobbled her food! Literally cleaned the plate with just the kibbles. She likes to carry kibbles to the living room and pick through to find the meat bits, but she still eats all of the kibbles. I’m impressed and I hope she continues to enjoy it.

Dog LOVES this food!!!

I have never seen my dog love a dog food more. We usually have to put some meat or something on her dog food to get her to eat it but she plows right through this food! She especially loves the freeze dried bits. I have made her food for awhile but feel confident using this brand especially with the freeze dried chunks in it.

I can’t believe it.

First time EVER my 7yr old 3.9lb Yorkie ate food without letting it sit around until there’s no other choice!!!! I’m super excited. I’m switching from Royal Canin Yorkshire (I thought it was a good choice, I feel horrible) but he would still wait all day to eat 1/4 cup because there was nothing else. Glad I’m finally on track!!

Perfect size

My fur baby ate his first bowl last night without me mixing it with wet food. He likes it but he is a little stinker and a very picky eater. I will say this is the first dry dog food he has eaten in a while.

Another one bites the dust...

I was sure hoping this would be the one my dogs would love, but no....turned their noses up and away as soon as they sniffed. They cared for neither the kibble or the raw. I do believe I have two of the pickiest eaters ever (Yorkie & a Chihuahua/terrier mix).

She loves it

To be honest our new little rescue is having some medical issues sorted out and did start a round of steroids the same day we got this food for her which can increase their appetite, but she'll choose this over our other dogs food still and before that we were having trouble getting her to eat any dry food. I think the raw bits really help entice her!

He’ll pull out all the chicken bites and eat them right away they’re like treats to him!
