Interceptor Plus was chosen by myself & veterinarian. This medication treats more parasites than some other brands. Whip worm control was what we were looking for. I'd recommend this brand to most everyone, especially country dwelling pet guardians. Our companions are exposed to a larger range of dangerous parasites.

My Dog refuses to Take It!

My pup is highly food motivated, but oh boy does she HATE this! The chew is huge for it being a bad tasting med which makes it difficult to mask the taste. Also, the instructions say your dog must break it down and chew it. So now my dog hates it, it’s huge, and she has to chew it up? It was impossible for months until I switch to regular interceptor which is a small pill and my dog chewed it up! They did a study that 95 percent of dogs will chew it up willingly! I recommend the regular interceptor if you are having a difficult time getting your dog to take interceptor plus.

Good Protection

This stuff does what it’s supposed but my picky Boston does Not like the taste. I have to hide it in cheese for him to take it. It’s what his breeder had him on and I continue with it since it offers more protection.

Easier and cheaper

My pug just turned 2 and he's been on this heartworm prevention since he was a little puppy. Ordering from chewy is faster, easier, and cheaper than getting it from the vet.

Not for this Yorkie!

My 13 year old Yorkshire Terrier will NOT take Interceptor Plus--no matter how it is presented. The tablet is much too big for her and she cannot tolerate the smell or taste of the medication. I have tried cutting the tablet into smaller pieces and I have ground the tablet to a powder and mixed it with her favorite foods. No way will she have anything to do with Interceptor Plus. What good is the medicine if the patient won't take it?

My dog has never had heartworm so I guess it works! Plus it's way cheaper here than it is at our vet.

Best Heartworm Medication

I've used this product on my dog for over 5 years and believe it's the best on the market. My dog is eager to eat it when presented and it's extremely effective. I've never had an issue with heartworms or other parasites that it combats. Highly recommend this product and will continue to use it.

He Likes It!

While I can't vouch for effectiveness, I can say the monthly struggle is over. Trying to get our dog to take another brand involved cheese, peanut butter, begging (by the humans). It was an unhappy event. This one he thinks is a treat.
