How To Give Your Dog Interceptor Plus
Interceptor Plus (milbemycin oxime/praziquantel) is a chewable tablet flavored with real chicken that you give to your dog once a month, every month. Its overall acceptability is 96.6%, which makes dosing easy.
You can give Interceptor Plus to your dog by hand or add it to a small amount of dog food. Administer the chewables in a manner that encourages your dog to chew, rather than to swallow without chewing. If your dog normally swallows treats whole, you may break the chewables into pieces and feed them to your dog.
Make sure that your dog consumes the complete dose, and observe your pet for a few minutes after administration to ensure that no part of the dose is lost or rejected. If you suspect that any of the dose has been lost, redosing is recommended.

Vet Recommended
By Kat333 on Jan 30, 2021
This is the only thing my vet recommends for my tiny Chi and she tolerates it well. Chewy has the best price as with everything else I buy from them.

Great product!!
By SusieQ on Jan 27, 2021
I have used this product brand on my former dog. It is easy to use and it also takes care of more than just heart worms.

would recommend Interceptor
By Kate on Oct 27, 2020
I have been giving my toy dog Interceptor for years. It's a very small, chew. She's a very picky eater and has been known to "pick out" the unwanted medicine hidden in the treat. lol I usually don't have to do much "hiding" with this product, which I like.

GREAT PREVENTION
By AmazingGrace on Oct 29, 2020
I've been using Interceptor now interceptor plus for tiny Yorkies, 2.5 lbs & mixed breeds up to 30# for YEARS! Negative heartworm tests always. Will continue to love my furbabies with Interceptor Plus as long as we live.

Perfect for small dog
By AbbyJ on Oct 6, 2020
We have a 7 pound Alaskan Klee Kai mix and our vet was worried that heartgard was going to be too big and she might not eat it all. Our vet gave us Interceptor to try and our little girl eats it right up with no problems!

Perfect for my boy!
By jordyy on Aug 10, 2020
I have a 6.5lb toy poodle mix. I give it to him as a pill because he plays with his treats and the other dog in the house uses Heart Guard—he doesn’t need two doses! I’ve never cared for the size of Heart Guard, or the texture. My last dog (passed away) was never on a heart worm preventative and my vet highly recommended this product. It’s worth it!

GREAT! but...
By LunasMom on Jul 9, 2020
we didn't order this off of chewy but we received some from our vet and I decided to write a review because this is great! I did put "but" in the headline because like others said its pretty stiff but chewable but I still gave it five stars cause of what it does. Also, one of my dogs took it as a treat yet the other dog needed it shoved down there throat so I have mixed thoughts but I'll be giving this for as long as my vet recommends.

Very easy process
By Thea on Sep 3, 2020
I elected to have Chewy call my vet for the prescription which they did and the product was mailed within a week and received timely. I have it set up for automatic shipment. So easy.

Good and bad points
By Mica on May 25, 2020
I liked that this product covered more types of worms than the monthly treatment I used to give my last dog and vet recommended it. It’s great if your dog will eat it. My puppy likes the taste, I know because she will keep licking it. However, it is very small and rather hard, so I have to put it in a spoonful of peanut butter to get the medicine in her. I will probably switch back to Heartguard Plus next time since the pieces are much bigger and softer, therefore easier for pet to eat.

Finally something my dog accepts
