Help your dog feel comfortable in his skin with the IVS Lipiderm Fish Oil Omega 3 & 6 Dog Supplement. Formulated by veterinarians, the all-natural blend of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids is fortified with vitamins and minerals—which is excellent news for his skin and coat. The unique formula provides specific nutrients that help with the inflammation of the skin, which then reduces and helps to control excessive shedding, chronic scratching, fleabite dermatitis and many other skin and coat-related issues. Offering the right balance of omega 3 and omega 6 plus antioxidants, it has the bonus benefit of supporting overall health.
Specially formulated, proprietary blend supports healthy and well-nourished skin and coat in dogs.
Helps reduce shedding, itching and inflammation, ease allergy symptoms and control flaky skin.
Contains both omega 3 (fish oil/flaxseed oil) and 6 fatty acids (safflower oil) like EPA, DHA, ALA, LA.
Vitamins A and E antioxidants help with overall immune system health and function.
Veterinary formulated and made in the USA in a soft gel form. Give with a treat or mix with food!
Yes, it's a large pill that's difficult to get dog to swallow and I have to puncture/squirt the oil on her food. My dog at least hasn't refused her kibble with the oil on it. Manually having to poke and apply the oil wouldn't be an issue for me if it actually showed signs of helping her. This item was recommended by a Chewy rep but unfortunately for us, it's not making a difference for my dog's skin problems.

I have used Lipiderm for my Coker Spaniel since he was a puppy and it has always kept his skin from being dry and flaky. An added benefit is his healthy coat. I won't use anything else.
Totally unexpected results

My 11 year old lab had developed a lump on his head. It wasn’t connected to anything but skin. We were waiting until we could afford to have it removed, because it wasn’t bad and we figured it was probably a lipoma. We went out of town leaving him with a friend, and when we came back, it was big and inflamed. Scary looking, he scratched it and it was bleeding. So I treated it, and put his cone on. We knew at this point it needed to come off right away. This is when a friend contacted me and told me his dog passed away and he had a bunch of treats and stuff that he wanted to give us. With that was an old bottle of fish oil. We started giving them to our dog, and his lump dried up right away andMy 11 year old lab had developed a lump on his head. With that was an old bottle of fish oil. We started giving them to our dog, and his lump dried up right away and was no longer inflamed and angry. We noticed the pills were expired and ordered these. We saw such an amazing result, it started shrinking drastically. We thought we would watch and see what happens before taking him in. He doesn’t like other dogs, he has fear aggression, and I hate to take him to the vet because I have to put a muzzle on just to be safe. Well after about a month or so, the results are stunning. I can’t believe how much it has gone down. It’s almost gone. I wish I could post before and after pictures. It’s shocking. We honestly started giving the fish oil because he has skin allergies, and licks his feet raw if we don’t stop him (which we do) we switched his food and have even given him benidryl as recommended by the vet but it’s just one of those things. We had no idea it would shrink his lump.… more

My dog and I like this product, the only down side is the capsules stick to be another. Which makes it harder to get out of the bottle. Other than that it’s a good product.
Save your money on this one

My 1yr Rottweiler has been taking these for almost 2 weeks and his scratching has seemed to decrease. My dog doesn't like the taste so I cover the pills in peanut butter (he can't separate the pills from the peanut butter) and put it on a cracker. After he eats the cracker with the pills I give him two dog treats and he doesn't give me any problems. I also cut chicken products out of his diet which seemed to making his itching worse.

These fish pills work well for dogs with allergies. It takes time for them to kick in but they do work and make a difference.

When Gus’ regular allergy supplement wasn’t available, I ordered the Lipiderm Fish Oil Supplement as a temporary replacement. It’s supposed to cut down on shedding and help build up their immunity. He’s been taking it for about ten days and I have seen a decrease in his shedding and his skin and fur look really healthy. The only thing I don’t like is the fish breath. It’s really strong when he gets close to you. If you can handle the breath, I would recommend this product.
